By now hopefully you will have received the post explaining more about
Pagan. Actually the remedy that I was considering does also cover the
hip problems and the stiffness: Stramonium. I have had even low doses
of Stram work on extreme mentals so I was hoping that I would also see
an improvement here without having to resort to high potencies.

With regards to food, she frequently doesn't eat at night as she is not
in for a long period of time at the moment with it being summer; she
might sometimes touch a bit of food but not much. Likewise with the
water, if she is drinking it is a miniscule amount, but with the grass
and vegetation being so lush the goats tend not to drink. I have tried
other things to see if I can find something that tempts her in order to
make dosing easier but she is just not interested in any of the things
that normally would tempt a goat. I find that goats go berserk for
honey and they will mob me if they think that I have some on me, but she
is not even interested in that.
I was wondering whether just misting the atmosphere with the remedy
might work as Donna suggested doing with the BFE's? But again I
wouldn't really have control over how much was being dosed?

Hi Donna

Fortunately I am blessed with the patience and have gone through this
routine on numerous occasions over the years. I find that they nearly
all come round eventually even though it might take years. Much easier
if you can figure out the correct remedy to help though! I had one that
didn't come round until the last week of her life after 7 years of
perseverance, but it was worth it in the end when she leant her head on
my chest and let me comfort and cuddle her and she obviously took so
much pleasure from that comfort. I just wish that I had been knowledge
in homeopathy all those years ago as then she might have come round
years sooner.

Yes, thanks for the details! (I don't know why mine posted so late...)
I was wondering too whether low potencies might be good enough, tho I
assume you'd have the problem of needing to repeat, which might not be
necessary (or far less often) with, say, a 10M. I would not *expect*
it to aggravate the hips, but would love to hear others' thoughts.
Misting the air should work just fine, and I don't think you need to
worry at all about the dose--within a whole, huge range it is true
enough that "size of dose doesn't matter". (Which I assume is a large
part of why that belief has held, even tho it's not exactly true in
general, not so true for LMs, and for certain people and situations is
simply not true at all.)

Were you on for my cow story a few months ago? I wanted to give a
hard-to-manage cow a dose of 10M for deep congenital issues. Put it on
some grain, which most of them adore (and almost never get), but all
she did is sniff it and walk away--and it worked! So, let's say that
was "olfaction". Which adds to my belief that misting the air
for your girl should work just fine, whether remedy or flower essence.
I suppose at *some* point you need to have "enough" of a dose, so would
want to mist while she is there? But I'd be curious about that!
(Yikes, where does "enough" begin...)

Yes I was on list for your cow story and it was fascinating and so great
to hear when things work well. Isn't it always typical though that
those you need to medicate the most in food just aren't interested in
the most delectable items!

I shall have a go at the misting and let you all know how it goes.

i really would not worry about the amount she gets from
spraying the dose. if anything, i would be concerned that
she got enough. but i also know that animals seem to be
very sensitive, not having the years of defensiveness often
built into the human condition.

Hi Roger

Yes a water pistol is a good idea as it will tend to have a longer range
than a spray bottle. Actually with the first dose from the spray bottle
I hit lucky: I hadn't turned the nozzle far enough and it came out as a
stream and hit her straight in the eye. It really was a fluke as I
can't judge where small items are due to having good eyesight in one eye
only. If I had tried to hit the eye I would have hit the nose or the
ear!

I wasn't even aware that they made water pistols like that one! Here's

LOL, Oh it is a child's plastic toy alright! And not all that
expensive. Remembering backyard drenching, mud-filled water fights
between ten-year-olds---I guess it's easier than dumping the swimming
pool over each other! What, your kids have to resort to pushing each
other in??? (I'm kidding. Ah, the joys of excess... And I pity the
poor *animal* it were to be used on!)
