Can anyone think of a rubric for someone who always speaks their mind?
Thanks

Hi Rochelle,
There's "Truth, tells the plain: alum, bov, choc, ephe, falco-p, hyos,
verat"
But I'd be inclined to look more at the hows and whys. Is is simple
straightforwardness (in which case perhaps not even a symptom), or is
it aggressive, can't keep a secret", or or ??
Best,
Shannon

That's the one - Thanks Shannon. I couldn't think what it was!! In her case it's probably aggressiveness.!!

Hi Rochelle,
Adding to Shannon's comments, but also a few remedies suggested by Refworks:
Speaks her mind (5): 3Apis, camph., falco-p., ruta, scut.
More distant possibilities -
Mind; OBJECTIVE, reasonable (p, 24) (24)
Mind; HONEST (p, 9) (9)
Mind; INJUSTICE, cannot support (p, 55, 1-20) (55)
Mind; INTEGRITY, sensation of (p, 4) (4)
regards, Barbara

Speaks her mind (5): 3Apis, camph., falco-p., ruta, scut.
*****and adding to what Barbara and Shannon wrote:
here is 'speaks her mind' from EH search
EH - speaks her mind
apis arg-met. camph. falco-pe. ign. phos.
Ruta also came up in that search, however I removed it as it said the following: Next day she still
lay in state of prostration, somnolence, and stupefaction, she could hardly be roused to speak, her
mind was confused, and she was semi-delirious.
Arg-met ref was from Degroote, Apis was from a urticaria case in a journal, Camph was a chronic
fatigue case, Falco was from Norland, Phos was from Richardson-Boedler, and was also looking at
Agrimony for that case and laast but not least was Ignatia from Jonathon Shore.
Here's another EH search that yielded 34 rems, however have not gone through the results and sifted
the ringins:
EH - outspoken / outspokenly / outspokenness
acon. aconin. am-c. arg-n. aur-m-n. aur-s. bar-s. carl. caust. choc. con. crot-c. ferr-s. graph.
grat. haliae-lc. hep. lac-leo. lampo-cy. lob. loxo-recl. lsd. meny. merc. nat-p. pall. phos. plat.
plb. positr. sulph. thuj.
I also wanted to say that as Shannon mentioned, what can be behind it will give more than just
'telling the plain truth' or being honest --- eg., it can be a subconscious protective/defensive
stance, or an aggressive one if one feels imminent or actual attack from some quarter ---- and this
can become a way to ward attack off as well. All this kind of thing can lead to other 'Mind' rubrics
as you would know. Truth is in the eye of the beholder unless it is a 'fact' that is seen by all.
You could also look at things like Censorious, defiant, Intolerance................
Would be interested to see what comes of this one Rochelle
Best

Thanks for the research on this one Robyn. Yes its another of my complicated type cases that get driven my way!! I will see what the remedy I gave her does before I consider anything else. The outspoken bit wasn't really part of the presenting complaint or the aetiology but just something I knew there was a rubric for and couldn't remember what it was!!

Hi Rochelle,
Taking Shan and Barbara’s lead, here are some rubrics having to do
directly or remotely -- with “speaking ones mind” - arranged according to
theme of the forcing function of that speech. Some I have had time to
compile into combined rubrics from RU, Synth 9.1, Murphy, Referenceworks.

Hi - just found this in Complete; probably not useful, but seems to fit your
description :
Mind; DIRECT, open, blunt (p, 2) (2) : bos-s., uv-lux.
But Andy's masterpiece is probably more helpful.

Excellent Barbara! I have found that rubric in RU and the cross references it gives are Positiveness, Rashness, Audacity and Constructive. I think I like Audacity for my patient despite the fact that the Rx I gave her is not in that rubric!!
