Dear All,

I posted the message below a few weeks ago, but considering the
present state of Yahoo it is quite possible that not everybody
received it. (I know I didn't.)

So - just in case - I am reposting it, as I find it potentially
relevant to many people nowadays. And while am at it, let me ask
another, unrelated question: are there any of you who consistently use
the LM potency?

All the best,

A.

The message came through previously. I think no one knew an answer for
sure.

The subject of Silica for patients with various implants has been discussed
on this list before, and as I remember the general concensus was that if the
implant is doing something useful, the vital force will not expel it under
the influence of Silica. That's been my experience, too, with lesser
implants such as teeth, and, in one case, with a patient who clearly
required Silica but who had a steel plate implanted in her skull to repair a
large gap that had been left by an earlier traumatic injury. The Silica
worked well, and the client had no problems with the steel plate.

That being said, in your place giving Silica to a patient with a pacemaker,
I'd be really cautious with potency, repetition, etc..., and keep a close
watch on how the person is doing. I was anxious with those other patients,
and I undoubtedly would be again in such a situation -- but it has turned
out well, so my anxiety was undoubtedly not necessary.

In a seminar some years back, Sheilagh Creasy gave the results of her
(at that time 40 years of) experience, that if silica was indicated by
the symptoms, she always gave silica--regardless of implants of any
sort--and had never seen any problem whatever. Not with pacemakers,
pins, fillings, or anything else that was "supposed to be there".

I wish I could find some of the old posts on the subject... But over
the years I've heard the question raised repeatedly, and no one has
ever given an example of a time where silica caused expulsion of
anything that shouldn't have been expelled--except in a couple of cases
where there turned out to be something *wrong* with the thing expelled:
in two cases fillings that had decay underneath; in one case a breast
implant that had sprung a leak (yikes, how would *that* be expelled???
But that's what I'm pretty sure I remember reading! Maybe just became
inflamed--anyone remember??)

I am curious about why this would be. The explanation I've heard is
that the "wisdom of the body" will not expel something necessary to its
functioning. Sheilagh also talked about seeing things expelled quite
unexpectedly, where one might have feared there could be problems, but
there were none. One, as I remember, was a bullet that had lodged in
the person's body for decades, which, some (weeks? months?) time after
the remedy (maybe silicat) suddenly made an appearance in what appeared
to be some sort of boil. The bullet had travelled quite a way thru the
body, passing safely by the lungs and various organs, making its way
safely to the surface. Weird, huh? :-)
I wonder whether the expulsive thing doesn't have to do with the body
becoming "aware" of an irritation, and responding to it as it is
supposed to do; but implanted parts--pacemakers and etc.--*have* to be
made in a way to *not* irritate the tissues, otherwise many people
*would* expel them--since that is part of what the body does! Silica
doesn't *force* the body to expel anything; instead, what it does (or
so I've heard it explained) is put the body / vital force down to
business on a task that it *ought* (if it were functioning up-to-par)
to have done on its own, anyway. Does that help?
Best wishes,
Shannon

Thank you very much for your replies.
Indeed, they demonstrate by themselves what a delicate subject this is.

As to the second question, I'll start..:)
After much experimentation (mostly on myself, true :), I have found
that the LM potencies indeed seem very appropriate in acutes as well
as chronic conditions. But if anyone has a different experience with
them, I'd be very glad to hear about it.

Thanks again.

All the best,

A.

Hi Shannon,
Did Creasy use high potencies? Would it make a difference using high potencies?
Thanks.

Hi Brian,
It looks like she used the whole range, low c, LM and high/single. But
in the discussion there was no hint at all that potency was a
factor--she said very definitely that if silica is indicated she will
give silica, and has never seen anything untoward from it.
Best,
Shannon
