Cystic fibrosis

If cystic fibrosis is curable with selenium then that is some fact to have been kept quiet. Could you let us have the name of the Doctor who discovered this? Who was he working for that sacked him? How on earth did they stop word leaking out?
I must admit I do not have huge faith in Doctors' research talents (in fact I don't usually give them capital letters!) but would love to read his paper.

Cystic Fibrosis is completely curable & not a hereditary disease. The
Pregnant Mother is lacking the mineral Selenium. If M and Child are
given Selenium this "disease" is completely reversable.
(The Doctor who discovered this association was fired and his work was
suppressed.)

This is what I found by Googling:
In 1978, the first universally accepted diagnosis of CF in a
laboratory animal was made by myself, Dr. Joel Wallach. The diagnosis
was based on characteristic CF changes in the pancreas and liver in
baby monkeys and were confirmed by CF experts from Johns Hopkins
School of Medicine, Emory University and the University of Chicago.
Experts from NIH and the CF Foundation were overjoyed -- that is until
they learned that Dr. Wallach could reproduce the CF changes with
acongenital selenium deficiency in almost any animal species. (With
this revelation, Wallach was fired with 24 hours notice-ten days after
his wife had died of cancer- and blackballed from further research.)

Hi Theresa,
Here's a link to an article by Dr Joel Wallach DVM, ND - something
about him being fired and then a 'bio' of him - he's been a busy man!
I don't have any difficulty at all in believing such a 'simple'
association has been 'suppressed' - medical history is littered with
similar examples - we work with one everyday right?

Theresa,
I hope you are not as naive as your response indicates. The
commercialization of Western medicine is all about suppression of
information on cure. They only want to controll symptoms, with med's
(and many med's) taken for the rest of a person's life.
If you can't believe the story about selenium, how about the cure for
diabetes and birth defects?
Ask any Medical Doctor if he can cure Diabetes M II, and the answer is
"we can controll it with meds". It is heresy for doctors to talk about
cures. Diabetes M II is completely curable within 3-12 months.
The research organization "The March of Dimes (USA)" for birth defects,
withheld information for about 8 years, that folic acid supplementation
would stop birth defects. They get a lot of money for research from the
average person, so there was no need to show how easy it is to cure.
(As do all the research organizations!)
I believe it was Linus Pauling that said, paraphrased, "show me a
"disease" and I will tell you the deficient mineral as the cause".

Bill-
what are the suggested steps for treating diabetes? Are there any
links to the treatment part / approach for doing this?
Thanks
