hi all
may I take the liberty to add a few on the topic;
Clary[Salvia sclaria], hydrastis canadanesis and Rosa damascena are also
recommended for eyewash.

Hello All,

Just for info, may I add that 30mls of mother tincture of euphrasia
off. or Myrica cerifera added to 480mls of sterile saline makes an
excellent eye drop/wash in a home or acute situation..

Dear All,

Hydrastis c (or golden seal root powder) is an old herb useful for all the mucous membranes of the body. I used to use a tea of it for conjunctivitis with my children when they were small. It is also an herb that commercial pharmacies included in eye ointments on a regular basis for many years (dont know what they do today)
