Hi Shannon,

Her history would lead to clearer pointers amongst other symptoms. A
few things jump to mind but I would recommend your taking her to a
vet for a diagnosis as there are several possibilities that I am
aware of but the vet would know better after an inspection.

My first thought is seizure activity! Others:- toxicity of some kind
- liver, pancreas, neurological disorder, meningitis (does she want
to press her head against things?), Geriatric Canine Vestibular
Syndrome (inner ear prob..walking in circles, disorientation, poor
balance), tumour, stroke as Kerry mentioned, etc.

She sounds very uncomfortable and miserable and I urge you to have
her seen to better understand what you are dealing with. You will
then be able to treat her homoeopathically with a more complete
picture and knowledge of what direction to take.

Thanks Tan,
I talked with the vet's office this morning (not the same, I know!),
and the stroke idea does seem right to me. She's recovering to some
extent (stronger and can walk now, but still stumbles and staggers),
but to be honest I do not expect her to live much longer, I just
haven't wanted her to suffer (of course!), and also felt that I should
try to find out what had happened, pretty much for my own "education".
It's sort of a complicated situation, but I've felt that she's been
sort of on "borrowed time" for about a year now... Today things have
shifted, and she's had a lovely day--spent all morning outside, resting
here, meandering, then resting there--*very* out-of-character for her,
as she's been a complete "house potato" for the past half-dozen
years!--but she seemed very content, and able to come in when she
wanted to. (Came in for a moment, looked around, then went back out
for a couple more hours!) Since then she has been back in the house,
basically just sleeping. She's not eating or drinking, doesn't want
to, and I'm not arguing with her about it.

Tomorrow I have to leave town for a couple of days, so my kids and
husband will have to see to her... But maybe this will be peaceful
after all.
