tinctures for bites

Hi Rochelle, I have just picked up on this earlier post of yours.
I, too, use herbalists's tinctures sometimes.
However, MTs are not necessarily equivalent to 1x's in material strength, at least not if you buy them in the uk. They are usually much stronger. (Even if they were 1 in 10 dilutions, which few if any are, they still would not be actual 1x's because the x indicates a succussed potency.)
This doesn't really affect what you are saying about external applications for insect bites but it is worth saying in case someone thinks they can use an MT as a safer alternative than the same dose of a herbal tincture.

Hi Teresa,
I actually phoned Helios where I buy my Rx and asked!!! They admitted that
their tinctures were 1x and that is why they were clear (my herbal ones can
sometimes be murky from the herbs) and a paler colour than my herbal ones.
However I also remember them saying they were wondering about making them
"proper" MTs. However while I can buy 1/2 litre of a herbal tincture for the
same price as 10ml of homeopathic MT I will continue to use the herbal
ones!!
