Cortico.
ACTH. Adrenocorticotropic hormone.
Hormone secreted by anterior lobe of the pituitary gland which stimulates
the adrenal cortex to produce adrenocortical hormones.

adaptation syndrome, the hypothalamus stimulates the pituitary gland to
release ACTH into the blood. ACTH stimulates the adrenal cortex to release
