Re Trauma and Shock

I have recently prescribed Ignatia IM for the effects of shock following the
successive deaths of a patient's father and step-father. My patient had been
unable to process the usual four stages of grieving because of the elements
of shock and hysteria in his symptoms. Following the IM potency - after
waiting - I have found that Ign. LM1 b.d.s. has been helpful. It is allowing
him to process his grief better and allow him to pass through the normal
grieving stages. He was also manifesting the typical nervous hysteria of
Ignatia, which is common in patients who are unable to face the death of a
close family member.

September 11th, I would guess, did not enable people to process their grief
and shock because of its overwhelming nature. It also had all the elements
of 'mass hysteria' which sometimes accompanies these awful events in the
world.

I hope this helps your Prtoject, and I would be delighted to see the results
of the 'team effort,

I have heard of the 4 stages of greif before but am not aware of exactly
what they are. Could you be more specific?

Dear Donna'

The four stages of grief as I understand them are ''denial, anger,
acceptance and grieving". Usually all four phases are encountered, but NOT
necessarily in this order. I hope this helps.
