I have usually found Ipec, Nux vom, Sepia etc. good. Even Pulsatilla-
for vomiting pregnancy. I have also given Symphoricarpus racemosa in a
couple of cases in 200.
There is nothing to be afraid of giving homeopathic medicines during
pregnancy. Do not repeat medicines unnecessarily. Select well. Since
you are helping the body to heal and not giving physiological doses no
harm will occur - in fact you are treating the child as well. I put my
wife on homeopathic medicines through out her pregnancy and we had no
problems at all.
If you do not have yet, get Yingling's manual ( read some of his
writings if possible) and see what wonders Homeopathy can do.
I would think pregnancy is one of the best times to prescribe...nature
is kind of extra-protective at that time...

Dear Deepak,
Vomiting d. pregnancy is a normal [ physiological] thing. But when it is excessive then docs become concerned because of dehydration & under nutrition. We've very useful Rx. Indeed all Rx depends on the evaluation & case study. But fr. experience I've seen Sepia 30 is a very useful where nausea by odor of cooking food is present + desire for sour [commonly found in pregnancy], Symphor res is said in our literature as specific. In uncontrolled vomiting C.M.Boger recomends Medorrhinum. [perhaps in 200]. D. Borland recommends Ipecac 30 [ esp where tongue is clean & nausea is not relived by vomitting. One drug needs attenion Ant t where tongue is white, retching is excessive + sleepiness [ 30c].

P.S. Re-hydration must be controlled either by oral or other route.

Dear Dr. Sharma -
this is obviously not a homeopathic remedy, but your patient might be
interested to know that GINGER (ground or fresh, it doesn't really
matter) works wonders against all kinds of nausea and tummy trouble.
(It's the one "natural" remedy that I am never without.)
All the best,
A.

Why should it be considered as normal?

Dear Dr. Deepak
Apart from the medicines listed by Dr. sakti chakravorty and Dr. hahnemannian2002, I found the following medicines also effective in vomiting during pregnancy
Aconite: Elevation of temperature, restlessness and where uterus shows active irritation
Arsenicum album: Where there is restlessness, but almost too weak to move, burning in stomach showing considerable gastric disturbances.
Belladonna: Where congestion.
Bryonia: With dizziness, especially on rising from bed.
Nux Moschata: Where mouth is very dry, especially nights.
Nux vomica: In some cases this is useful, if indicated.

Hi ,
I could help you , but I need more info.
Is this patient used take any Homeopathy before.
How many months is she now ?
Is it her 1st Pregnancy ?
What is causing her to vimit is it the foos smell of food what time of the
day etc.
You can try Ipeac 30Ch, may be 20 drops , 4 times a day, for 3 days, the
patient should call back or visit the Homeopath, since in a prenant person
you must pay very close watch.
Reption , remedy , potency , the sensityvity of the patient etc.
with best of luck.

Hi Dr.Sharma,
Since you are in India Delhi , there are lots of good Homeopathic dr's all
over Delhi & India, I thought we in the North Amercia is having problem to
locate good Homeopaths. I used to come to India for my Education.
Any way I treated many pregnent women in my practice,so far no problems.
we must take very good case history, If the patient is not used to
Homeopathy, I always advise to see a well known Homeopath in locally, Are
you a Homeopath or Allopath.
few remidies I can suggest, but it is not the way one should treat,
on the e-mail etc.
Few remedies, as I can suggest are Aconite, Ipeac, Arsenic Alb etc.
If you could send me more in details I can work with you.
with regards.
