Minutus

I'm trying to find a remedy for a child whose milk teeth are stubbornly staying put. She's almost 10, small for her age. Some of the adult teeth have come through, but the milk teeth seem to wobble, almost fall out, and then firm up again.
She's received Lachesis as a constitutional, and it has helped her a lot, seems to be the main remedy that works whenever she comes down with anything. She's extremely talkative, sometimes very outgoing, sometimes not, doesn't have much of an appetite for anything except sweets. She's very warm, affectionate.
It seems that Silica would have connection to the teeth - but it seems to have absolutely nothing to do with the constitution so I hesitate to prescribe it. She's received Calc-Sil in the past (used to have a lot of dreams about dead people, talk of dead people), but it didn't seem to touch the teeth. Her toes are somewhat crooked, and some of the nails are slightly concave. The teeth that are growing in also seem to have independent directions of their own!
Any ideas as to rubrics/remedies?

Try Baryta carb; the child is small, slow in going to the next stage
of development-
If we take this deficiency + "psoric" influence + desire for sweets -
this might be sulphur.
For slow growths etc. syphilinum is also good.

A remedy to look at maybe is Calc-f.

Generals - heat - sensation
Generals - food and drinks - sweets - desire

It is not in the rubric 'Loquacious' but in Prisma it is mentioned
as 'indiscreet, loquacious, intelligent, but making many mistakes
due to thoughtlessness.

Just to remind people that Minutus now has a discussion forum and that
a topic has been created for 'diffiuclt cases' - you'll find it on the
minutus website. This might be a more discreet and safer place to
discuss cases?

Actually Slicea is not a bad suggestion - Silicea is what keeps the
stalk of grain upright (as well as teeth) and there is a theme of
'ingrowing' which is a kind of regression - we see this physically and
well as emotionally. The stools recede back, nails grow inwards,
foreign objects lodge within, Silicea needs to yield and bend and sway
otherwise they get ill from over absorption and in the child they just
do not want to grow up (you can see the obvious connection to
Pulsatilla). If the child is really chilly then I would consider the
Silicea again. Often very intelligent, literary and friendly. Best

Hi Vera
Silicea worked for my son. The permanent teeth were erupting in the
wrong direction and not pushing out the baby teeth. I don't remember the
details now (he is 17) but he lost three teeth within a few weeks after
Silicea. He has beautiful teeth an did not need braces.

This is great to hear! I'm just curious, was he a "silica kid" in
other ways, and was a single dose enough?
