As I posted on the homeolist - think about this before you vote yes -
do people in britain really want homeopathy to be funded by the NHS -
funding = power and then it gets ominous. Imagine this 10 years down
the line. Apart from the implications is it even possible for
homeopathy to sit comfortably alongside allopathy? Joy

You raise a valid point, Joy. But at the moment the poll is running 53-47
against funding by the NHS, so perhaps it will never happen. (I thought
this was supposed to be a poll on the efficacy of homeopathy, not on whether
the NHS should fund alternative medicine!)

my question is whether the poll is equating funding by the NHS
with support for homeopathy. polls are not known for their
refinement of ideas. if, in fact, the poll is equating funding with
support for homeopathy, it seems that people should be voting

These polls are generally mindless, what do they really mean anyway and
they are full of innuendo and any result would be left hanging in the
air and probably best left alone - they really shouldn't effect the
grander outlook of our work. I think they just give people an illusion
of democracy by just allowing a voting one way or another. Best wishes,
