Hi Stefano
the best reference I have come across about LM potencies is the "Hahnemann revisited" by Luc De Schepper. He has a whole chapter about it. (Chapter 6 LM Potencies).
The number of shaking is related to the sensitivity of the patient, 2 is the lowest number of shaking possible.
Your questions have a number of ramifications, so may I suggest that your read the chapter? The whole book is written so clearly and I just could not put it down!
Good luck
Lucy

Does anyone know when prescribing LM potencies........does it matter if one
shake it 2 times or ten times..........which is the best to do every day and
do different methods have different effects.

Hi Stefano,

Water potencies can be in lower C potencies (for chronics) - ie 6C, 12C,
30C or in LM's.
You have to try to figure out the sensitivity of your
patient............the most sensitive should be started out even lower than
LM - something like 6C in 8 oz of water in an amber bottle if possible
(less sensitive people can have in 4 oz in a bottle), take 1 tsp of that
after succussing and put in 4 oz of water and then take 1 tsp from that.
The same with LM's

The number of succussions also depends on sensitivity. We usually start
low - sometimes only 1. The idea is that the remedy potency needs to be
higher each dose you give, never giving the same potency again. So you can
succuss any number. David explains on his wbpages that I've shared, a
little of how to judge all of that. I usually start with 2 or 3 and the
above way in water, further diluting the remedy.

It is never repeated routinely unti you see what the reaction is. I give
one dose and then observe for a few days. If I see some response and no
aggravation, I will often start with every other day and monitor. But this
is where it gets tricky and need to read David Little's website and Luc de
Schepper's books to really start to learn the nuances of it all.

Are you a homeopath?
