If you read my post Sycosis & Common Gonorrhea 1 you already know I
have a different opinion. IMO, Medorrhinum is useful in a certain species
of what has been called "sycosis" for the last century and half. This
species of sycosis is caused by gonorrhea N which has been proven to be a
chronic disease. In truth HPV does NOT cause "figwarts". Figwarts are
called condylomata lata and are caused by the gummata of syphilis! That was
a mistake made by Hahnemann because he included mixed cases of syphilis and
sycosis in his study in 1828. This mistake has already been corrected by
the time of J. H. Allen. HPV causes condylomata acuminata, which are
ordinary warts associated with sycosis at present. These grows do not look
like "figs" but the condylomata lata of syphilis certain does! Please check
the pathology books for pictures. I
I really must differ with the general view expressed here. Gonorrhea N
has been proven by generations of homoeopaths to cause chronic symptoms. In
fact most of the symptoms related to sycosis in our books related to
chronic gonorrheal miasm not HPV. This information is proof positive that
gonorrhea N is not a local disease. There are amble case histories that
show that after the suppression of gonorrhea N the patient developed loss
of memory, pessimism, confusion, yellow green to brown foul catarrhal
discharges, dark spots, fishy odors, joint pains, heart diseases, damp
asthma,l kidney stone, and even warts, flecks and moles!
Many cases histories show that anti-sycotic remedies (including
Medorrhinum) caused the reversal of symptoms sometimes ending in the return
of the originally suppressed gonorrheal discharge! Yes, the memory comes
back, the joint pains stop, the smells disappear and growths fall
off! Many have witness this phenomena over the last century and half! I
have documented many cases of chronic diseases after the suppression of
gonorrhea N. This material can not be denied or ignored just because HPV
causes warts! We must look at the bigger picture as based on the collective
case histories and the reversal of symptoms. To think gonorrhea N just a
local disease is a big mistake!
I might also add that I do not agree that Medorrhinum made from
gonococci N. has more tubercular symptoms than sycotic symptoms as
presented in our books and the case histories of great homoeopaths. Here
are just a few examples from the materia medica.
For persons suffering from gout, rheumatism, neuralgia and diseases
of the spinal cord and its membranes - even organic lesions ending in
paralysis - which can be traced to a sycotic origin.
For women, with chronic ovaritis, salpingitis, pelvic cellulitis,
fibroids, cysts, and other morbid growths of the uterus and ovaries,
especially if symptoms point to malignancy, with or without sycotic origin.
For scirrhus, carcinoma or cancer, either acute or chronic in
development, when the symptoms correspond and a history of sycosis can be
traced.
Bears the same relation in deep - seated sycotic chronic affections
of spinal and sympathetics nervous system, that Psorinum does to deep -
seated affections of skin and mucous membranes.
Children, pale, rachitic; dwarfed and stunted in growth (Bar. c.);
mentally, dull and weak.
Severe pain (backache) in renal region, amel. by profuse urination
(Lyc.).
Renal colic; intense pain in ureters, with sensation of passage of
calculus (Berb., Lyc., Ocim. c.); craving for ice
Menses: profuse, very dark, clotted; stains difficult to wash out
(Mag. c.).
Metrorrhagia: at climacteric; profuse, for weeks, flow dark, clotted,
offensive; in gushes, on moving; with malignant disease of uterus.
Intense menstrual colic, with drawing up of knees and terrible
bearing down labor - like pains; must press feet against support, as in labor.
Intense pruritus of labia and vagina agg. by thinking of it.
Breasts and nipples sore and sensitive to touch.
Breasts cold as ice to touch, especially the nipples, rest of body
warm (during menses).
Pain in back between scapulae; whole length of spine sore to touch
(Chin. s.).
Intense burning heat, beginning in nape of neck and extending down
spine, with a contractive stiffness, agg. by stretching.
Rheumatism of top of shoulder and arm; pains extend to fingers, agg.
by motion (right, Sang - left, Fer.).
Lumber vertebrae painful and sensitive to touch.
Pain in sacrum, coccyx, and back of hips, running around and down limbs.
Pains in legs, from hips to knees; only when walking.
Heaviness of legs, feel like lead; walking very difficult, legs ar so
heavy; legs give way.
Lower limbs ache all night, preventing sleep.
Intensely restless and fidgety legs and feet (Zinc.)
Broad, flat condylomata, dry or moist. Naevi, warts, corns.
Small, pedunculated warts, with pin heads like small button mushrooms
on various parts of body and thighs.
Tumors and abnormal growth.
The above symptoms are well documented and related directly to what has
been called "sycosis" for a century and half! We simply can NOT ignore all
this information because modern science says HPV causes warts. That is far
too simplistic and reductionist to explain 150 years worth of homoeopathic
documentation about a collection of symptoms called "sycosis" by
trustworthy observers. Med. has cured many cases involving "warts" as well
as other sycotic symptoms and had reinstated discharges. Sycosis is all
about a "terrain" caused by non syphilitic venereal diseases which may
include a spectrum of microorganisms that share are particular pathway of
disease and chronic symptoms. I would say Medorrhinum certain does relate
to the gonorrheal subspecies of sycosis! It has some symptoms similar to TB
and syphilis but in the main its symptoms are sycotic.
Sincerely, David
