I have a client who is convinced her problems of Chrohn's disease
and thyrotoxicosis stem from this.
Her Crohn's over the years helped by homeopathy but recently chose to
have Radioactive iodine for Thyroid.
I believe she may fit in one of Jan Scholtens Lanthides but despite
attending seminar and obtaining book have not yet decided which one
and ran out of time to intervene,. Would be interested to know
anyones experience in diagnosing and treating., Regards Jean

In my experience, clients' absolute convictions about things such as the
need for constant cleansing, being overtaken by Candida, and being poisoned
by heavy metals are really important to their cases, but more in the realm
of persistent ideas, monomania, or delusions (depending on the flavor of the
symptom in the individual case) than as factual causes. This one makes me
wonder about "delusions poisoned"... Obviously, one can be poisoned by heavy
metals. However, most often in these cases, there is no overwhelming
episode of radical toxic exposure -- so we're dealing with a susceptibility
that may be physical but is almost always equally or more emotional.

Entirely agree.
Not that its a good idea to put this to the Px, rather assure them
that H can detox ( or cause the bod. to do it) and similarly for
Candida, build the 'immune system' etc.

Pxs often come in nopwadays having been to one or more practitioners
of other disciplines (inc the allopathic) all of which have imprinted
their perspective.

This fear has been expressed to me for some time and as she comes
from Tasmania where there is known poisoning of environment ,some of
the rivers quite dead, ?arsenicum , lead,and I do not know what else
I thought at least I should negate idea or confirm it by appropriate
testing.
There is no doubt there is a feeling of abuse in childhood,not overt
but feeling of neglect ,of domination by father, of wanting to know
everything about all treatment, feeling of abuse and wrong treatment
by allopathic system, great anger about this, not being listened to,
controlling what medication she accepts. She has had cortisone
psychosis with treatment of her Crohn's in the past. I have used
Hyocyamus before now. Nat Mur, Ignatia, helpful at times. Iris
Versicolor seemed to stop recent flare up of Crohn's then her
Thyroid problem appeared .?? brought it out. In retrospect she thinks
it has been in the background for years Until this time we have been
able to keep a balance when she opted for the Radioactive Iodine as
we were not controlling though undoubtedly helping the overactive
thyroid.
There is the Lanthanides idea of being in control. Is that
correct ??/ She is very smart, can use the Net ,keeps flooring me
with new information ,flatters me a lot, gets a lot of support
online. Yesterday [by phone ] I concluded that she might be
Europium Carbonicum, [issues with smart ass father] maybe Metallicum
which has colitis listed.
I am seeking the help of a colleague who is quite skilled at
kinesiology and studying this group with another who attended
seminar. Also someone-who might be familiar with how to test for
heavy metals before prescribing as at the moment feel like backing
out a little, She became very upset that I was abandoning her
{perhaps old issues of abandonment] but I think accepted my reasons
with assurance that will still available after these strategies,

If she fits the Lanthanides than maybe you can look at one of the
Oxydatums as they are noted for Crohn's as wel as the abuse and
neglect.

Dear Jean, just to home in on the sx of Chrohn's disease - have you
considered Aloe?

There is a lot of anger, discontentment, despair, insecurity and fear
deep within this rx. cannot tolerate being contradicted so the
controlling factor would possibly enter. They can be violent as well so
they will try to control this. They also have an abundance of ideas,
very mentally alert - this is part of a changeable nature overall.
Toxicity from drugs is part of the picture as well. Hope useful, best

Thank you Annemieki. Will look at this. I have a few people
studying the Lanthanides for who have been difficult and some
pathology from control of others. They interestingly also have no
wish to control others happy with middle managment although this girl
was an exceptionally high achiever . The havoc her illnesses have
created in her life are a source of grief and anger.

Thank you Joy,as Aloe has goitre and also she had the sensation of
cyst pressing inwards in throat,as well as abd and mind stuff
should certainly be considered. Was so hopeful of the Iris as it
effects small bowel and thyroid. . Gosh I hate to think may have
