chronic renal failure and PVC ( Premature Ventricular Contractions), a type of irregular rhythm of heart

Dear Sir !
I am a male, 67 years of age, from Pakistan. I am a homoeo doctor by profession. I had open heart surgery, called CABG (Coronary Artery Bypass Surgery) on 25 February after I went into cardiac arrest on 30 January 2006. After I was revived from the attack, the cause was found to be blockage of all the three vessels of heart upto 70 percent.
I was also diagnosed to have chronic renal failure and PVC ( Premature Ventricular Contractions), a type of irregular rhythm of heart. Doctors say I can get this irregular rhythm of heart any time when I will be in stress or over exerted.
I am a known diabetic for the last 20 years. Presently, I am on Isulin (70:30) 10 units in the morning and 5 units in the evening and my sugar level remains about 130 (fasting) and about 190 (random) mg/dl.
Can some one please suggest complete homoeopathic treatment? I will be obliged.
Dr. Syed Mohsin Rizvi

I now need a prescription for chronic renal failure and PVC ( Premature Ventricular Contractions), a type of irregular rhythm of heart.
Thanks again.

Dear Dr Rizvi

I am sorry to hear that you are in poor health. However, with the number of
homoeopaths practising in Pakistan and who can take a full and relevant
case, why are you asking assistance from forums such as Minutus and others?

I hope you can make a rapid recovery.

Dear Dr. Saroush !
Thanks a lot for your kind words.
I am a homoepath myself. (We have been together on CTCH). All the renowned homoepaths of Pakistan were consulted by me before surgery but finally I had to land in an Operation Th eater of an allopathic hospital for a Coronary Artery Bypass Surgery.
As I said earlier, I am also diagnosed to have chronic renal failure and PVC ( Premature Ventricular Contractions), a type of irregular rhythm of heart. Allopathic-Doctors say I can get this irregular rhythm of heart any time when I will be in stress or over exerted.
I am a known diabetic for the last 20 years. Presently, I am on Insulin (70:30) 10 units in the morning and 5 units in the evening and my sugar level remains about 130 (fasting) and about 190 (random) mg/dl.
After surgery, I consulted a few renowned homoeopaths of Pakistan. No one could give me a prescription for chronic renal failure and PVC ( Premature Ventricular Contractions).
Then I went on to two Homoeopathic Groups on Net. The Moderator of one Group refused to circulate my mail. You have always been very kind. You circulated it on "MINUTUS". But I have not yet been able to get any satisfactory prescription. As a matter of fact, the response is also not encouraging which, to my way of thinking, is an indication of professional-bankruptcy.

Dear Doctor Soroush!
No. I must have taken ASPARTAME once a while in the drinks but I do not have it regularly in drinks or food.
With regards.

Dr. Syed Mohsin Rizvi,

I read your posting with interest.

Based on your description, I believe that all the four diseases you are
suffering from are not congenital anomalies. Therefore, the best management
for you is to treat your diabetes first and foremost. I am sure you have
several homoeopathic remedies in Pakistan to treat diabetes, like Acetic
acidium, Boric Acidium, Lactic Acidium, Phosphoric Acidium, Carbolic
Acidium, etc, Aurum Metallicum, Argentums Nitricum, Cuprum Arsenicum, etc,
Syzyzium Jambolinan Q, Nux Vomica, etc, Pancreatine, Insulin, etc, Lachesis,
etc, the controlled diet ( an important item ), depending on, repeat,
depending on the symptoms and signs of your diabetic condition.

As you have undergone open heart surgery, the blockage should be cleared.
The PVC ( Preventive Ventricular Contractions ) would be improved by the
better management of your diabetes.

The biggest problem is your CRF ( Chronic Renal Failure ). It is again
depending on your diabetic management to palliate your present situation.

My suggestion to you with your present suffering and to manage your diabetes
is [a] take an equal quantity of fresh tomato juice and fresh water melon
juice, mix them and drink at regular intervals for several weeks ( to
reduce the tomato intake if you are suffering from hot, moist stomach and
intestines ) OR to simmer 60g of wolfberry leaves in water to a thick
juice and serve as tea for 10 days ( to avoid cow milk or other dairy
products ). Any of this remedy should improve your diabetes and with the
severe controlled intake of carbohydrates and sugary foods at all times,
particularly your dinner or supper, your fasting blood sugar should reduce
further. Treat this simple advice as a proving, please !

I wonder for several moments on your 20 years diabetic suffering and a
Homoeopathic Doctor could not improve his disease. I guess that you may be a
glutton particularly abusing the intake of carbohydrates, all sugary foods
and saturated fats all of which reward you with diabetes and followed up
with blockage of your heart arteries and further leading to your PVC and
CRF.

I joined MINUTUS about a year and your case is the one that interested me.
Please treat this reply as for your reference basis. You are the patient ( a
Homoeopathic Docotr as well ) and you decide what next.

Cross border to assist. Wishing you getting better soon.

Thank you.

since you are a homoeopath in profession, you may go through the organ remedies of heart as well as kidney. you are the best person to decide which remedy will suit you as other details are not available. You may also go through the remedy "Eel serum". And also you may think of tissue salts. Be confident and believe will definitely help.

But what this list is potentially good for is ideas and candidates - esp if

Whether or not you are a homoepath, suggest get a caring one locally who is
not "famous" but has a lot of experience, and plenty of stamina to put in
work on cases. You can work together with them.

Here are some ideas which may or may not be helpful for you or your
practitioner to evaluate.
For the PVC, there is only one rx with this dx listed specifically, found
as a toxic side effect of allopathic digoxin (but we are talking of its
homeopathic form if it is found suitable for the case).

The digitoxin already in the hom. mm. may be similar (eg it has yellow
vision)

Digitalis itself is also worthy of study.

==================================================
DIGOXIN (allopathic drug)
Uses
Congestive heart failure CHF; arrhythmias.
TOXICOLOGY (MARSH) -- see referenceworks
CNS
Anxiety; apathy; confusion; dizziness; hallucinations; headache; mental
depression; weakness.

CVS
Atrial tachycardia with block; atrioventricular (AV) dissociation; heart
block ( first - second - or third-degree); disordered junctional (nodal)
rhythm; accelerated PR interval prolongation; ST segment depression;
ventricular fibrillation;
ventricular tachycardia; palpitations; sinus bradycardia; ventricular
arrhythmia; supraventricular tachycardia; bradyarrhythmia; bradycardia.

Eye/Vision
Blurred or yellow vision.

G.I
Abdominal pain; anorexia (loss of appetite); diarrhoea; nausea; vomiting.

Haematology
Thrombocytopenia.

Male
Gynecomastia (enlargement of breast tissue in males).

Skin
Skin rash.

Notes
See Digitoxinum; Digitalis; materia medica.
================================================================
Here is homeopathic remedy from Digitalis (foxglove) alkaloid which is
probably different from above, but shares the yellow vision so a possibility
is closely related agent. The toxicology above is more specific in terms of
conventional dx but the below indications are better for prescriptive
resonance
=================================================================
DIGITOXINUM
HOMEOPATHIC -- Digox. has yellow vision very marked and distressing nausea,
aggravated by champagne and aerated waters. Faintness, rapid loss of power.
Prostration, limbs refuse their service, cannot rise from bed without
assistance. Phlegmonous inflammation going on to suppuration.
CLINICAL - Phlegmon. Suppuration. Vision disordered. Vomiting.
Chest - Oppression and anxiety in chest, heart-beats and intermissions
plainly felt.
Eyes - Weak sight. Features of friends seemed to swim and become
indistinct. All objects in room run together without any outlines, could
only distinguish some very dark or bright or large or small images in the
field of vision. All objects, especially all bright ones, seemed in a
slightly yellow light.
Face - Paleness and collapsed appearance of face.
Food - Aversion to every kind of food.
Limbs - Prostration, limbs refuse their service, cannot rise from bed
without assistance. Phlegmonous inflammation going on to suppuration.
Pulse - Slow intermittent pulse. Pulse at first normal and regular,
became later markedly slow intermittent, dicrotic and then tricrotic. Pulse
very easily excited by the slightest excitement or physical exertion.
Sleep - Not a moment's rest on account of distressing nausea and
weakness. Restless sleep with partial sleep, which was interrupted by
confused, anxious dreams and frightful fantasies.
Stomach - Faint feelings, nausea and discomfort. Carbonated waters and
ordinary drinking water aggravated the nausea. Vomiting was violent,
bilious-colored masses of mucus, accompanied, preceded and followed by
retchings.
Vertigo - Faintness, rapid loss of power. Slight vertigo with nausea
and faintness.
COMMENTS - Digitox. has been proved by Kopfe, who took a single dose of
2 mg. at 10 a. m. It began to take effect in an hour, faintness, nausea and
slight vertigo, which increased until he was obliged to hurry home at 1
o'clock to avoid vomiting in the street. But he was too weak to walk and had
to take a carriage. He went to bed immediately and remained in bed three
days and part of the fourth. The pulse had remained regular and at the usual
rate, 80 to 84, but at 2 o'clock was 58 and intermitting.
Excessive nausea was constant and prevented sleep at night. Vomiting of
dark greenish masses of mucus gave instant relief, which, however, only
lasted a short time. Then, the pulse went down to 42 intermitting after
every two beats, the heart-beats and intermission being plainly felt in the
chest. The limbs refused service in spite of the greatest exertion of will
power. Sight became weak, faces of friends were indistinguishable and he
only knew them by their voices. Objects ran together without outlines, so
that he could only distinguish some very dark or bright or large or small
images in the field of vision. Therewith all objects, especially all bright
ones, seemed in a slightly yellow light.
This yellow vision was very persistent, lasting eight days, it may prove
a keynote for this preparation of Digitalis. The nausea continued and was
aggravated by drinking champagne, aerated waters and ordinary water. The
second night was very restless with partial sleep interrupted four times in
an hour by confused, anxious dreams and frightful fantasies. In the evening
of third day he was able with effort to eat a little and did not vomit.
On the fourth day he was up a little and felt Better was able to eat a
little meat and drink as much water as he wished. On the fifth day he was
able to walk out a little, leaning on the arm of another. During the three
succeeding days the symptoms gradually disappeared. With sound sleep and
extraordinary appetite, physical strength and normal vision returned. In
some experiments made on dogs it was noted that subcutaneous injections were
invariably followed with phlegmonous inflammation proceeding to suppuration.
COMPARE - (1) Dig. - worse from drinking is marked in both. (2)
Digitalinum, Cina and Santonine in yellow vision.
SOURCES - Clarke.

Physiological Action. This agent is a cardiac and arterial stimulant,
and a diuretic. By its direct action upon the heart it increases its rate,
force, and the blood pressure. It diminishes the frequency of the pulse and
increases the force of the cardiac contraction, cyanosis gradually
disappears, while dyspnoea is less marked. No cumulative effects were ever
noticed.
THERAPEUTICS
This remedy is indicated when there is a failing or BROKEN CARDIAC
COMPENSATION. The arterial tension is lowered and cardiac dropsy is present,
the function of the kidneys is interfered with and anasarca results. The
urine is scanty, the urea is deficient, there is great dyspnoea, and the
pulse is irregular. There is often a headache, the pain extending from the
occiput around the temples to the eyes and across the front.
It is useful in HYDROTHORAX, ASCITES and ANASARCA when they are
dependent upon a chronic dilation of the heart or valvular disease.
It is of service in cases of MITRAL and AORTIC REGURGITATION, when
there is a precordial pain with painful throbbing of the blood - vessels and
headache. It has a sedative action upon the heart. It relieves the sense of
increased intracardiac pressure, and is useful INTESTINAL MYOCARDITIS, when
there is irregularity of the heart action, with dyspnoea and dropsy. The
cases of aortic regurgitation in which it appears to answer best, are those
in which the lesion is due either to a TRAUMATIC RUPTURE of the valve, to a
CHRONIC AORTITIS, or where it has arisen independently of rheumatic
endocarditis.
Notwithstanding this prompt and energetic action, this remedy may be
administered in pathological conditions where Digitalis, if given at all,
should be administered only with the utmost care. This refers to FATTY
DEGENERATIONS of the heart, PERICARDITIS, simple HYPERTROPHY and certain
ATHEROMATOUS CONDITIONS. Its DIURETIC ACTION in health is limited, while the
disease it influences the edematous conditions and produces diuresis,
especially when the heart failure is secondary to disease of the kidneys.
Compare. DIGITALIS, STROPHANTHUS, CRATAEGUS.
