lymph nodes rubric help

I'm trying to find the rubrics for painful, inflammed, and indurated lymph
nodes of the neck in synthesis and don't find anything. What's the rep term
for lymph nodes in English (still my second language:-))?
Many thanks,
Caro.

Thanks Rochelle,
For some reason I find them in the MM no problem but not a specific rubric
for lymphatic glands/nodes of the neck in the rep; not under "throat" or
"external throat"...
Best wishes,
Caro.

glands."

The term "lymphadenopathy" is made up of three words: lymph + adeno-
(meaning gland) + -pathy (meaning disease) = lymph gland disease. Since most

============
The term "bubo" is customarily used for axillary and inguinal
lymphadenopathy

Bubo: An enlarged lymph node ("swollen gland") that is tender and painful,
particularly in the groin and armpit (the axilla). A feature of a number of
infectious diseases including gonorrhea, syphilis, tuberculosis, and bubonic
plague. The odd word "bubo" comes from the Greek "boubon" meaning groin or
swollen groin.

*****Hi Caro
Here is a hint for finding things in Synthesis.
If you want to find all rubrics in all reps open that have the root
lymph, then hit:
Shift?

then type in the box lymph*

and you will get all rubrics that have this root in it.

Also, the word will also likely pull up relevant things.

If you wanted to be specific, then just put in the box
throat lymph*

Thanks, Andy!
I'm pretty sure I can't possibly miss what I was searching for with these
rubrics...
Now, does this one apply specifically to lymph nodes?

EXTERNAL THROAT; NODES (G402): alum., carb-an., caust., hep., ign., Lach.,
lyc., mang., mez., mur-ac., nat-c., nux-v., ph-ac., phos., sil., tarent.,
verb., zinc.

**** I dont know the answer to this.

My supposition was that it was *not* lymph nodes but a node of undetermined
valence and anatomical relation. But that is my interpretation. I included
it because it could be lymphadenopathy by someones parlance that got
included in rep separately from the main rubrics for cervical glands.

But since it is a separate rubric from swelling or induration of cervical
glands, it is probably something other than specifically lymph nodes-- and
that is the way I would see it unless someone knows that this is an "old
term" for lymphadenopathy.

Here are the rubrics to compare (complete 2000), and we can notice that
there is mang, mez, verb in the nodes rubric that are not in these two which
are literally for the lymph glands.
