cold sores

We all know that cold sores (fever blisters , herpes) around the mouth that come up in the sun could lead to Nat Mur in a prescription. I have searched high and low and can't find a rubric which actually says this. Can anyone? I presume
it must been in a MM somewhere.

Yes Jean I know all those :-) It is the fact that the sun brings them out
that I am looking for!!! I know I can cross Sun agg with one of those below
but I am searching for a specific rubric as I don't think there is one. Or a
reference from a MM

Hi Rochelle,

I can only find a v. sketchy reference to the sun and herpes in Refworks for a case of
Sepia:

Not sure about his hieroglyphics and if that helps.

best wishes, Barbara

Yes, you could use Sun, exposure, worse from which includes a sub
rubric rashes, dermititis. But better would be Skin eruptions, from the
sun.

From MM you could look at Sol, Cadmium sulph, Cantharis ?, Lachesis, as
well as Nat mur etc. Joy

I note that there is no Nat Mur in these rubrics!!!
Murphy, Skin; VESICLES, eruptions sun, from exposure to, acon[1], camph[1],
kali-i[2], sol[1], sol-t[1], staph[2]

But we all know that nat Mur has this symptom. Why can;t I find any
reference to it?

Leave out the 'vesicles' and you have, as I wrote, Skin, eruptions,
sun, from - and Nat mur is there. Joy

author who is responsible for Nat Mur in this rubric is a Henry Guernsey.
