Meditation ailments from ? (cont)

Dear Shannon,
Some more thoughts. This interests me since I have a same symptom. That of
irritability after meditation.
But meditation has two meanings. One , as per conventional- that of calming
down the mind, by slowing down the thought flow, by being passively aware of
oneself but being detached from the thoughts. this process though not
religious ,has aquired that status since various prophets, teachers and
saints taught them. The mind that refuses to slow down and instead shown
signs of other aggravation can be a problem to be cured.
The other is simply focussing thoughts on anything that requires such a deep
effort. A new idea, design etc. And inability to apply mind here is
morbific.
I recently met a Yoga teacher who also knows ayurveda that bilious subjects
have
this problem. This made sense to me. Some of the bilious rx have the
irritability
like Nux v and Bry .Bry has the hepatic swelling in fever coupled with the
aversion to disturbance. Nux also wants to be left alone.
On another tangent the rubric concentration difficult can be analysed.
A mighty big rubric!
In synthesis, there is this rubric, concentration , difficult, abstract
subjects for - Med which
takes us to the meditating angle.
Summing up , if it is just concentrating agg- it is pretty common. Other sx
should come in.
If it is meditating agg , the available data is scanty and incomplete. We
have to look elsewhere.

Venkat
