mind ~ surreal

Hi All, first of all I enjoy reading all the posts ~ it's so adding to
my Education. Thank you very much.
I have a question/problem with one of my clients.
He is a Lycopodium and the remedy is doing very well with him. So far
no Heartburn (which was horrible), Heart palpitation is gone he's doing
great between 7-8pm. But he's complaining in his mind things look
surreal. I asked him to explain that and he said when he looks at
things they don't look real or he feels disconnected from himself.
I can NOT find anything like this in the Repertory.
I'm hoping the Lyc will help him across the board but does anyone have
any ideas if this is a Lyc state or what rubric suits this complaint?
He's had allot of anxiety in the past and I was hoping this was a part
of it but not sure.
Thanks, Emily

Hi Emily

I would say that as your prescription seems to be doing good - hang on in
there and do not change any thing.

Lyc is long lasting remedy - so do not repeat too quickly either.

here are a few more ideas

In synthesis, when putting in 'disconnected' it directs you to 'estranged'

Also, thought would mention that the first rems that come to mind for me with this kind of
sensation is cannabis - and sativa, but not by all means the only ones

Hi Emily,
How many doses and what potency(s) has he had? How long has he been on
Lyc, and how long ago did this begin?

Hi Emily
how is his sleep? Lack of sleep or just insufficient sleep can make one feel surreal. Perhaps you can find out if there is something that is affecting his sleep, he might not be aware that something has changed.
I have seen 1 dose of Lyc to last 6 months, so it is a long lasting rx, wait and see might be the way to proceed
best regards
Lucy

The other suggestions notwithstanding, I suggest checking his diet as
certain deficiencies could produce similar Sx, it may be that he also
temporarily needs a supplement

Lycopodium has the 'delusion that everything will vanish' as well as
'delusion he will not reach his destination' - you need to understand
that in 'Lyco speak' but these could indicate that his detachment fits
in with these. But just an aside (as you haven't given the whole case)
context, i.e. that the case is going in the curative direction. Best
wishes, Joy
