This is all about fusion of the natural state and the dis-eased state and
also about polarities of remedies whether they be nosodes or not.

There is recognition when taking the case of the qualities and positive
aspects of the person. We won't be prescribing on these though will we? Even
if these aspects are very strong within the case, if they are not part of
the dis-eased state they are noted but put to one side.

So how does a positive aspect become negative? How does a quality become
diseased? Being fastidious isn't necessarily a diseased state of being,
neither is curiosity, honesty, creativity etc as mentioned. But it helps in
the general theme or type of remedy if we can recognise these positive signs
when we are choosing which Rx to prescribe. One is hardly likely to choose
Nat mur if that sense of duty isn't prevalent. One is hardly likely to
prescribe Causticum if the sense of sympathy isn't there. Honesty and
tolererance will feature big in a Nat Mur case (sense of duty) - it becomes
diseased when they hang on and hang on to past grievances which might have
arisen out of their sense of duty.

Genius is an interesting concept but what is it other than a bourgeoise
notion attached to especially "the arts....."

This brings us to Andrew's current interest in the Rx Absinthium. Van Gogh,
Gauguin and their french artist associates all took Absinthe to a great
degree. They may or may not have had Syphilis but if you study this remedy
you might begin to understand some of these so called geniuses art.

All remedies have their polarities and the simillimum should restore the
positive polarities and obviously cure the negative.
