Hi All,

would appreciate if anyone could share info on any remedies associated with fear of being stabbed.

Could write a thesis so can you say what sort of info you want.
Stabbing would come within the 'persecution' type rx such as the
snakes, definitely animal like but many plant rx come within this fear
as well, so there is a lot of scope, hence my question to narrow down

In my rep there is actually no fear of stabbing (although there is fear of
being attacked).

Has one been added to the more modern versions and if so, what are the
remedies.

I noticed of course the rubric DREAMS - STABBED, being - fear of being
stabbed, with Lach the only remedy.

I don't have any 'modern' versions so I can't say but I was trying to
suggest that the field of enquiry be more succinct - could be
references regarding knives, violence, persecution, attack, abuse,
revenge, self harm, type of pain etc etc. You often think of 'stabbing'
as being 'from behind' - not always I know but there is a silent,
sneaky, danger to being stabbed in the back and this brings in other
notions as well.

You also find 'stabbing' references in many of the heart remedies.
Naja, for example, has that amazing sx of a sensation that a hot iron
had been pushed into the chest as well as a suicidal disposition with
an axe - you can see the theme of 'stabbing' in the extreme.

So it is quite a wide brief and no-one declares a fear of being stabbed

There is the rubric, as Joy says, "Fear of knives."

MIND - FEAR - knives; of

Of course, these remedies are there for different reasons -- some of them because the person fears s/he would kill herself or someone else if a knife were available. This is one of those rubrics just the right size for analyzing the reason for each remedy's presence.

There's also:

If you cross these two rubrics with rubrics such as
MIND - FEAR - injury - being injured; of

that he was afraid of he just said ' I'm afraid of being stabbed'- doesn't
dream of it - has never been stabbed but was threatened with loss of
children in a long time ago divorce.

As I could only find refereneces to dreams , thought someone else might have
seen the rubric on its own or 'fear of being stabbed' which I would like to
take into account

Beverly, can you find out more about why the patient "doesn't like to let
anyone down?" That could be a very important piece of information.

Rajan Sankaran has an Anacardium case, where the person had a fear of being murdered, with
dagger --- there were all the Anacardium pointers there as well though --- dualism, ambivalence
etc.....

The only reference to Anac and fear of being murdered was in Murphy's rep

Opium is big, and the only one for Delusion that someone will stab him

If you think this fear is related to actual physical harm or to more of a metaphorical situation,
like 'being stabbed in the back' and what that would entail from an emotional standpoint, needs to
be clear.

If this is related to his fearing that he will have something done to him, like lose his children,
as an underhanded, 'from behind' method, then this could be what is behind a statement like that.

For those who would like to offers suggestions re patient with fear of being
stabbed - thisis what I have from patient -

Patient seems to be of high moral fibre - doesn't mind if he tries
something new of his own i.e. computer and mucks something up but wouldn't
like to risk say an employer's equipment if he wasn't up to par with correct
knowledge.

Seems the sort to put himself out for others and say everything with him is
okay i.e. suffers in silence so to speak. Is in remission from lymphoma- has
had masses of chemo- , seems to also put up with personal putdowns on a
domestic front and not speak up- very sore muscles/bones, great pain to
touch muscles, joints feel like gravel in them on exertion, very low
energy, trouble switching off to sleep at night, dull ache vertex with
vision of wriggly lines pre headache, says self-confidence is pretty godd -
will have a go at anything, restless legs at night. purple bruises easily,
bleeds easily, weeping discharge at top of ears, stumbling a little on
walking - vears off to the side [right they think], lumbar pain, ache worse
after sitting

I have actually been thinking about whether phos may be suitable but it
doesn't take into acount the fear of stabbing which may not be important
literally anyway

All info re suggested rubrics/remedies would be appreciated

Dear Beverley, I agree with Robyn - the 'stabbing' could be a fear of
being stabbed in the back, emotionally speaking = let down,
disappointed, someone taking revenge. But you have to follow this sx
through and ask him what it means. If an answer isn't forthcoming it
would be difficult to use this sx, although you could look for similar
themes throughout the case, perhaps there is a mirror image of this on
the physical plane. Basically you have to find out if fear is the sx or
the stabbing is the sx.

From what you say here he seems to have been really poorly and many of
the sx you relate appear to be much more useful than an unqualified
emotional sx.

High moral fibre
Dutiful
Suffers in silence (suppressed emotions)
Fear of being hurt (stabbed)
Lymphoma
Easily put down (yielding)
SAI gravel in joints (is this uric acid diathesis, gout like or
connected to the lymphoma) + sore muscles
Tendency to stagger
Easy bruising, purple skin
Suppurating skin

Makes me think of a few rx such as the Aurum group, especially Aurum
mur and the Manganum group.

But there is a lot missing from the case and it needs to be finished
with a totality and exploration or these inner feelings if possible as
well as pain, location, extension, modalities of the physical sx. Hope
