This is off-topic, but for anyone dealing with TB, seems potentially
important. The two sources cited--Forbes and New England Journal of
Medicine--are I believe both quite well-regarded.

February 23, 2006
When it comes, it comes fast - and all in the same day.
First, laboratory evidence tuberculosis can be prevented by vitamin D.
Science DOI: 10.1126/science.1123933
Next, a Forbes magazine article with the same message.
Vitamin D Protects Against Tuberculosis
Then, straight off the press, a controlled clinical study showing
vitamin D resulted in a 100% cure rate for TB patients. In case the
New England Journal of Medicine cares, they treated TB patients
with 10,000 units a day, not 400.

Re: OT-TB and Vit D
Well, "sun" equals, at least in part, "vitamin D"! And "mountain air"
equals (at least in part) "stronger sun"... But other than that--yes,
and people often died. If vitamin D could be the latest "wonder drug"
for it, that seems like a good thing! One hundred percent cure rate
sounds not too shabby!

Re: OT-TB and Vit D
I was able to reach the Forbes article, but not the one on controlled study that resulted in 100% cure. And the vitamin D council e-newsletter subscription does not accept my e-mail address !!!???!!.
Can anyone forward more info on the 110% cure study, or links to it.
