No matter what 'field' I have been involved with/in over my life, and there have been quite a few ,
I always have found it disappointing to find intellectual absolutism within that field --- and have
always vowed to not succumb to this, as feel it has little value in the long run, for the 'field'
where it is found, or for the individual operating within that field, and those that will be
ultimately affected by that field. It seems to be a form of "intellectual senility' (as Grauvogl
puts it), that if appropriately diagnosed, may need remedying. However, if it is too 'fixed', then
this chronic state, may be unable to be touched by 'any' form of remedy. This is probably to be
expected though, and I will not let it stop me from pursuing 'flexibility' in order to reach the
goal that led me to the field in the first place. This is not to say that I will not use the firm
basis that 'defines' that field, as the launching pad so to speak, as without it, it would be
difficult to expand, and expansion, or 'growth' within any field, must be a natural course - IMO!

And from my point of view 'this field' is supposed to be classical
homeopathy - the only reason I wanted to contribute to this list. But
it also seems to me that there is a menace against homeopathy at
present and sadly that menace is coming from within homeopathy.

Of late there has been a call to want to use camera imaging (and other
unnecessary technology) to help us decide that our rx choice is
correct; there is frequently a call to appreciate the magic bullet
value of PC rx - a design system that has borrowed from Hahnemannian
homeopathy, nay cloned part of it, and then thrives on that success by
infiltrating Hahnemannian homeopathy whilst abandoning other vital
aspects of classical homeopathy; we are expected to have an open mind
to all these variants of homeopathy but if we come out against them we
are prejudiced against in return (even though many of us try to read
all there is, examine from many points of view and decide against etc -
a perfectly rightful avenue of thinking to take); we have also been
told frequently that "homeopathy has not worked for this and that",
"homeopathy has let down people with serious pathology" - this is such
a castigation against homeopathy it makes me wonder why these 'seekers
of alternative homeopathy' bother.

When allopathy strikes against homeopathy at least we know where we are
but when homeopathy strikes against homeopathy - that is the menace.

The problem with homeopathy is not the homeopathy but we the
practitioners + maybe a tendency to get carried away with filling the
reps and MM's with too many new rx, having almost too much information
at hand making our job even harder, not easier - maybe this is why we
now demand technologies to help us make decisions.

For me there is only the need for Hahnemannian homeopathy and for all
my other interests in life I don't have the need or time to look
elsewhere or alternative homeopathy.

I don't think intellectual absolutism exists so cannot say more about
that, can only guess at what intellectual senility is - sounds bad to
me (more semantic fever). If expansion takes you so far away it is best
to let go. If Minutus is now representative of that expansion then it
needs to be said but I don't think recent discussions have got anything
to do with the fact that this group is not being moderated at present
or not being reminded that it is a group for classical Hahnemannian
homeopathy - it seems the prevalence for expansion is geared to go on.
Alternative homeopathy is not for me. All IMO
