skin, suppression etc

We all agree that suppression is a bad thing and that treating the
skin topically without internal homeopathic treatment based on the
totality is not what we are about. We all know how to look for the
signs of suppression and understand the consequences. Any more quotes
from the old master etc really arent necessary as we must have all
taken that on years ago and are singing from the same hymn sheet in
that regard.
. Whats interesting to me is that there are substances that nourish
the skin and create an environment condusive to skin regeneration. if
we treat a starving, malnourished person with remedies alone we are
not going to do as well as if we feed them good food at the same time.
When last did you eat a homeopathic salad? A similar thing is true
of skin health. The analogy doesnt translate exactly as most of the
skin's nutrition comes from within but it is possible to give the skin
a healing environment in which to regenerate without suppressing
anything. That is most approriate where there have been unatural
external demands on the skin like excessive exposure to solvents, too
much sun, water, etc. More severe damage like burns and wounds are
another scenario where we should be more flexible imo. Seaweed,
manuka honey, some of the oils and certain plant extracts etc are
invaluable at times, especially in severe cases. A wound or burn
heals in double the expected time with no scarring where lots was
expected as a result of using well selected natural topical
applications - suppression? Stretch marks dissapear in 3 weeks where
months of taking remedies made no difference - suppression? NO and NO
imo.
Why do we take vacations, eat healthily, breath properly, get enough
sleep, avoid conflict and seek loving relationships? Are these things
suppressive? Of course not, and neither is being kind to your skin.
And what makes Calendula non-suppressive?? There are actaully much
better things than calendula around. I think most of us use it because
its all we know.
