Dear Glen:
Dr. A.U. Ramakrishnan from India treats primarily all cancer case. His new book "A Homeopathic Approach to Cancer" details his "plussing" method of treating cancer. He goes through different types of cancers and remedies that have the best results with those areas. He specifically discusses gliomas of the brain.

Being a homeopathic veterinarian, I have many opportunities to treat animals with cancer. I have used his method with animals with very aggressive cancers and have had some success in extended these animals lives long past the expected time for survival. I have not had the opportunity to use this method with animals with brain cancer yet. What I have found is that homeopathy has had an enormously positively effect on the mental attitudes of the animals. It often seems to have the animal go into remission and function well for a longer time than would have been expected.
Even with a large tumor that is ulcerating, the animals have seemed happy and playful. The owners often do not want to put them to sleep because they see how happy the animal is acting.

Dr. R. seems to have had very good results in brain tumors and other tumors. He also suggested several remedies for pain control, etc. It is well worth reading this book if you are going to attempt to treat cancer.

The book is published by Quality Medical Publishing, Inc.

Dear Jill,

Do you find the cancers in pets, cats specifically, to develop more rapidly than in humans? And if so, does this impact the prognosis for cure?

I am very happy to have your expertise on this list. I have treated a few pets homeopathically, but feel a somewhat ignorant of their physiology. Last year I lost a cat to what probably was cancer. she was about 12-13 yrs. I had treated her for what seemed to be a problem with her liver or adrenals--the tests were not clear, and she responded beautifully. The next year she exhibited similar symptoms. during the course of treatment she suddenly devleoped a large lump in her intestinal area, which seemed to be a tumor. She died within 3 months despite some remarkable responses.

thank you
