Minutus

I found a kitty, about 8 weeks old, had a big injury in her right eye.
took her to the clinic and the dr had to remove the entire right
eyeball, becasue it had a big infection spreading, he also said she is
almost dehydrated, she looks like she lost her mum and hasnt been fed
for a few days.
she came back to my home 2 days ago, but she is hiding away in a
bascket, too scared to come out, not responding to food smell, she
only responded to chicken, and to a lesser extend to fish.
not drinking any water, had just a few drops of milk but no more.
her bowel movement look normal. her body shakes when she try to move.
her voice sound week and hasky, just similar to what one get when
having a bad cold.
could someone suggest some medicine/s for post operative state, maybe
to cover the mental and physical truam she went through? help with the
fear, and physical weakness?

Stramonium comes to mind as a possibility?
I once had a cat whose life was definitely saved by that remedy, after
he was nearly killed in a fight and became suddenly terrified of
everyone and everything--even me, and before that I had been his one
close buddy. Stram isn't especially connected with surgery (not that I
know), but rather with the trauma and fear. Also stram is one of the
rxs that hates water.

Hm, there must be other possibilities, but my mind is stuck on that
one, quite possibly because of my cat's experience... Maybe china to
help the dehydration??

Hi Afnan,

Alternate hourly or combine Chamomile and Aconite in the sixth potency. Just wet it slightly and press it on her fur. She'll lick it off. If not crush the tablets between two spoon and make it liquid with added water and force into her mouth.

Good suggestion - but what about good old Arnica? Post op shock etc
- I have used it a number of times to great effect for post surgical
shock / trauma - will take care of the phys and emotional trauma -
plus has the Arnica Sx does not want to be touched, fears approach?
I would use 30c in water - drip a few drops on the nose she will lick
it off. Repeat hourly for 3 doses.

fwiw - when an animal (or person) is at death's door I have also
used several remedies dissolved in water if it's not clear what is
best indicated at that time - and time is of the essence - ie. there
isn't time to get it wrong and try again - a dying person / animal
often has few Sx - sitting facing the wall and not responding for
example? I'd like to add there is NO other occasion when I would
advocate a combination of remedies, but I'd rather keep the being
alive and argue about philosophy later.
