Minutus

Hello,
Searching a rubric for somebody who wakes up every hour at night, I came across the two following rubrics:
RU, Sleep; waking; frequent; every; hour:
allox[1](119), arg-n[3](54), arn[1](36), ars-h[1](54), carb-v[1](10), ferr[1](10), marm-w.[1](194), nat-m[1](10), staph[1](10), sulph[3](36)
and
RU, Sleep; waking; frequent; every; regular hour, at:, sel[3](5)
Can somebody tell the difference between those two rubrics – or what does the word ‘regular’ mean here exactly?

I always say, and keep saying, that if you want to know the true
meaning of the inclusion of a rx in any rubric then read the materia
medica.

With the second rubric, this pertains more to exact periodicity that
CAN be in evidence with the rx cited = Selenium. but this isn't the
only condition of sleeplessness in this rx - it can be more of a
general sx due to the effects of alcohol and/or dreams.

Whereas in the first rubric the periodicity is more elongated, e.g.
sulphur wakes between 2-5 and personally i would question the
inclusion of many of the other rx mentioned, as to their waking at
every hour, as it tends to be more just 'frequent' waking rather than

Thank you Joy. I will read about sel. and about some other rx from the other rubric which are still unknown to me, for curiosity and for the sake of studying new rx; this is always a good idea and thank you for reminding it.
As for this specific case I am persuaded he needs staph. [which figures in the first rubric], because as soon as I asked him to describe his personality he began to pour out the whole MM of the mind section of this rx and the generalities fit as well. Let's hope for the best.
