roger if you don't think some of these big pharma execs aren't pure evil you are living in a fools paradise. before release some of these new must have drugs the , as they put in the commercials, weight the benefit against the risk: they calculate how much money projected to be make, how many years before the lawsuits come from know, undisclosed side effects, how much lawsuits/payouts will cost, then set the price of the drug. this is not theory. it is fact. they minimize side effects and advise doctors not to speak about the serious ones, just the minor ones. they are protected from these because they are included in the small print in the insert data no one ever reads because their doctor gave it to them so it must be safe.
yes, not all in medicine and drug research are evil but those that run the big pharma industry definitely are.

I agree
110%, Angie. The very people who are willing to look
outside the box (which is a profoundly productive thing)
seem to see a monolithic conspiracy everywhere. I think
that it has something to do with not getting enough love
when they were very young, or something along that line.
My wife is a Filipina, born and raised in poverty in the
Philippines, and her babies, my babies,
LIVED on her chest for the first 3 or 4
months of their lives. I don't mean only that she
suckled them for the first 3 or 4 months of their lives; I
mean that they LIVED there for the
first 3 or 4 months. That is what I call real nurturing
and loving and caring. This is similar to how most women
in the third world raise their children, assuming that they
aren't up against it with regard to survival. We
Americans are unique in putting our babies down the hall in
a separate room (with a baby monitor). I am constantly
amazed at the strong and balanced characters and attitudes
that my two children express. I keep trying to raise them
as I would expect damaged American children need to be
raised, and I keep discovering that hey I didn't need to
raise my voice at them, or my son being very on purpose
about helping me with my household chores or his studies,
and many, many other very pleasant surprises. If a baby is
deprived of hugging and kissing and love and attention,
everything else after that is catch-up.
These conspiracy theorists suffer from a slight
case of paranoia. Yes, there is a systemic reason why
pharmaceutical companies are the evil way that they are, but
it is not because the players are evil. It is because of
our profit system and people's mindset and the nature of
natural healing and how our society has drifted towards
sub-naturalness. It is not because a monolithic group
(mother and father) decided to harm us (put us down the hall
and ignore us).
That is my
opinion on the matter, and I am sticking to it.

This assumes
that biotechnology is a lot more advanced than it presently
is. A plasmid, even if man made is still very difficult to
get implanted into DNA, and they tend to be relatively
short. Viruses are very complex and a retrovirus is even
more so. RNA is extremely delicate, so I can't see any
scientists making a virus, let alone a retrovirus that will
be successfully implanted the way the conspiracy theorists
say. If they were smart enough to creat the virus, then the
technology would exists to offset it.

some drug research typically starts with known natural cures. for instance i was just reading about studies using propolis from bee hives stopping tumor growth, results are amazing. the problem comes from being able to patent and synthesis. the research is paid by big pharma so if it is found that propolis cured cancer the researcher is not allowed to state this. they must state it is a chemical synthesized from or derived from such and such. which i am sure you are aware of. i believe there are researchers out there who wish to do good but research $$ doesn't come from the good. it might be donated from the good and funneled thru these cancer foundations or whatever first who end up in control of who gets grants.
but on a different but similar note. capitalism in and of itself i believe is good. you work hard, provide a desired product or service and make $ based on supply and demand. where it goes all wrong is when greed and selfish control of power comes in. drug companies have made it impossible for a small independent scientist to patent a drug. big pharma themselves have pushed application and trial requirements and fees sooo expensive only mufti-billion dollar companies can submit to the fda. fees for this process were WAY less 50 years ago. and lets not forget who bankrolls the elections of most politicians. and where these politician/government officials previously worked and end up working after government service. just look at monsanto and our fda. revolving door between the heads of the two.
just like the banning and threat of suing if fda hears any talk of natural cures for ebola. this is why you will never hear propolis stops cancer growth. government is paid off, media is paid off, doctors are paid off.... this is why groups like this and other people who keep traditional medicine alive need to speak more to the masses.
yjr one thing i can agree with roger on is most will not believe unless they have first hand experience with it. even then i have seen where it has worked but the person blew it off as coincidence and when back to drugs because their doctor told them what they did doesn't work. even though they experienced it for themselves, if the doc says it doesnt work it must not work.

So, now you Sheri are more outside of the box than I am. I call that serious ego. I was practically born outside of the box. I don't even see a box. There are good and bad things in the box and good and bad things outside of the box. I don't give a freaking fig about the box, about "us vs. them". All souls are infinitely precious, but that does not mean that all people are good or bad.

I know full well that there are psychopaths and sociopaths in government, corporations, and elsewhere. I just don't see them being ABLE or WILLING to sit down and have a conspiracy. There is no concerted effort because everyone would be fighting to see who the conductor was. The only concerted effort is to make money and garner power.

I believe that your incapacity to see beyond your casting aspersions at people in power is a serious character flaw, which you unfortunately share with a lot of people, mostly people who see the world as though they were victims.

I have absolutely no issue whatsoever with anything that you said below. I agree with it 100%.

I want to point out that water is very important, but most people have never heard how important, because you can't pay anyone to build websites to tell people about it, or visit doctor's offices to tell them about it. There is no need to ascribe evil to some conspiracy because we didn't get the memo that water is important to health and that most people, particularly older people are water deficient.

The same could be said about the amazing benefits of rebounding on good mini-trampolines. There is not much profit in it, so it is difficult to get the message out. Another thing that rebounding illustrates is that it does not fit the paradigm of what exercise should be, so people have trouble relating to it and thus disbelieve that it is valuable, sort of like homeopathy, flower remedies, chiropractor, etc.

The fact that the lymph system is almost completely ignored by doctors until someone gets a lymph node infection does not help the cause of rebounders.

I am going to end this missive and go down into my basement and do 30 minutes on my rebounder, while watching NetFlix. (:->)

some drug research typically starts with known natural cures. for instance i was just reading about studies using propolis from bee hives stopping tumor growth, results are amazing. the problem comes from being able to patent and synthesis. the research is paid by big pharma so if it is found that propolis cured cancer the researcher is not allowed to state this. they must state it is a chemical synthesized from or derived from such and such. which i am sure you are aware of. i believe there are researchers out there who wish to do good but research $$ doesn't come from the good. it might be donated from the good and funneled thru these cancer foundations or whatever first who end up in control of who gets grants.
but on a different but similar note. capitalism in and of itself i believe is good. you work hard, provide a desired product or service and make $ based on supply and demand. where it goes all wrong is when greed and selfish control of power comes in. drug companies have made it impossible for a small independent scientist to patent a drug. big pharma themselves have pushed application and trial requirements and fees sooo expensive only mufti-billion dollar companies can submit to the fda. fees for this process were WAY less 50 years ago. and lets not forget who bankrolls the elections of most politicians. and where these politician/government officials previously worked and end up working after government service. just look at monsanto and our fda. revolving door between the heads of the two.
just like the banning and threat of suing if fda hears any talk of natural cures for ebola. this is why you will never hear propolis stops cancer growth. government is paid off, media is paid off, doctors are paid off.... this is why groups like this and other people who keep traditional medicine alive need to speak more to the masses.
yjr one thing i can agree with roger on is most will not believe unless they have first hand experience with it. even then i have seen where it has worked but the person blew it off as coincidence and when back to drugs because their doctor told them what they did doesn't work. even though they experienced it for themselves, if the doc says it doesnt work it must not work.
