Thank you for the warm welcome, Vicki, and the links you shared.
'Tis true the UK & Canada has a bit of a lead in the holistic outlook/approach, but as you know, change for the better does not always come as quickly as desired.
The AVMA may be behind the eight ball, in this regard, but the American Holistic Veterinary Medical Association (AHVMA) can be a helpful informational resource in the U.S. as to what Vet does what things in what state(s).
Here is a link to my Vet, Dr. Jim Friedly's, practices; The Natural Healthcare Center for Animals and Countryside Veterinary Clinic. Hopefully you will find enough information throughout his site to give you a feel. You should also be able to manuver through it to see services offered, etc.:

Dr. Jim Friedly is the first Colorado Springs veterinarian to dedicate his practice to the holistic approaches of healing and preventative healthcare.

I am not trained in homeopathy, but merely slightly self-taught, and I am not a Veterinarian, so I can neither diagnose, prognose nor prescribe, in any way, shape or form, so my presence here will likely be geared more towards learning than sharing
I have, on a few occasions, homeopathically self-treated or treated pets belonging to friends, who understand and believe in it, but that is as far as I would allow myself to go with the little knowledge/experience I have. I know there are many who believe no harm can be done with homeopathic remedies, but personally, I am not so sure that is always true, so I would rather err on the side of caution and leave the big stuff in the hands of the professionals.
While I might be willing to share what little I suspect, know or have experienced, personally, it would come with the caveat that all must know I am not a trained practitioner in the art, and therefore take NO responsibility for what others choose to do with anything I say. I am not likely to ever suggest a remedy or some other such treatment, as I cannot legally, ethically do so, and am all too painfully aware how dangerous a little knowledge can be. Opinions and questions, however, I am always willing to share and ask.
As for whether homeopathy will work for all 21st century issues with dogs, cats, humans, etc., I am not so sure I can agree, for I believe it possible that not all creatures respond to homeopathy. I do not yet know why this might be the case, but my gut tells me is might be possible. If anyone else can speak to this suspicion of mine, I would love to hear from them.
For your added pleasure, I have attached a picture of the both of us standing in front of some of his homeopathic and other remedies.
Health and happiness to all,
Diana
Welcome Diane!
I'm happy to see that you joined the group and that you posted as a vet tech. One of my biggest complaints as a pet owner is that there are not enough well trained veterinarian and lay pet homeopaths in this country. The system in the UK and Canada is, in my opinion, the best of the two worlds. As I'm sure you know, the AVMA American style is not friendly to homeopathy and raw feeding!
My dogs' vet knows that I treat with homeopathy and she knows I feed raw. She tells me how she would approach. I say yes or no! We work together for the health and longevity of my dogs.

Please tell us about your doctor's practice and what type of services you provide. Obviously you love animals and take your work seriously or you wouldn't be here hoping to express yourself and discuss this topic with this esteemed group of professionals. There are a few of us here who are pet owners are here to learn more about how we can take care of our pets with homeopathy.
What do you know about homeopathy, and is the service currently provided at the clinic where you work?
I hope to share my dog's story with you. There are a few pet owners reading and participating in this group because we have found homeopathy to be an alternative that absolutely works for all of the 21st century issues that dogs (and cats... ummm... Irene, Sharon and Gilda!) face.
I use both veterinary services (when necessary for testing and diagnosis) and their treatment is homeopathic. LOL... I stand my ground if there is any decision to be made in an area where we have disagreement! I also push aside my ego if what she says makes sense.
To date I have only had one "unfriendly" encounter with a vet who thought she knew more about my dog than I did! I knew that wasn't the case becasue she fussed and fumed about raw feeding and how dangerous it was. I paid the bill and didn't go back! That was simple, huh? Raw feeding is becoming more mainstream and better accepted than it was 5 years ago when we started.
Let us hear from you again. We have a lot to talk about.
