I have just had a reply to my question of whether she has had the
new indigestion symptoms before.
"Occasionally, many years ago in my late twenties, early thirties.
Had it a couple of times this year but nothing so severe nor lasting
for so long. My digestion seems to be at a fairly low ebb right now
and today I seem to want to eat things like rice pudding (home made,
of course - haven't any!) and easily digestable, light meals. Why
rice pudding - don't ask?! Toast is also high on the menu but that
is normal when I don't feel well particularly when I am recovering
from a really bad migraine attack."

Wednesday was the worse migraine I have had for a very long time,
with all the symptoms of shivering, shakes, violent headache etc and
the trouble was I didn't have my Naramig with me, nor was I able to
get to any tablet before I finally got home at 8 pm at which time I
was almost on my knees. However, after a Naramig, a warm bath, and
a slice of toast (which is about the only thing I can stomach when I
am in such a situation), I began to feel a little better and was
extremely pleased to get to bed. Thursday I felt much better,
Friday was dreadful, migraine on waking, tremours and weakness. I
couldn't believe it. Another Naramig, food and a little rest and I
began to pick up but I was so pleased to be leaving work. Thank
goodness we finish early on a Friday. I wasn't even able to get to
the shops to do the shopping - usually I manage to keep going and
achieve all my goals, but this past week it has been extremely
difficult. Today, again I had to go to bed with a migraine this
afternoon after trying to battle on. So, it isn't good news. I feel
completely lost right now. Hopefully things will settle. The worst
thing is that I am riddled with indigestion and particularly trapped
wind around the heart region, which seems to be a new phenomenon. I
will see how things go>>

Dear Joy
Am on the Minutus site and have just realised that I am not
receiving all the posts to my OE box. Chelidonoum was the remedy
which repped out best for me but for some reason I chickened out of
givingit and gave a dose of Nat Sulph because of past whiplash and
head injuries. Maybe I should have gone with my instincts (:-)) as
you will have seen what happened in my latest posts unless you have
also not been receiving them as soon as they arrve.

Re: Migraine
Hi Joy,
Yes she has had shingles , but only in the last few months that she
has told me about. I will have to ask her if she has had it before.
She had a mild case of chicken pox as a child. So what do you see as
the connection between shingles and the headache to have brought you
to Mezereum? I wonder if they started after the chicken pox or even
if she can remember!!

Re: Migraine
It took ages to finally find one your posts but cannot find a trace of
mine, so it went something like this
the intense neuralgic type pain that is experienced with shingles
(chicken pox often being a precurser at some point in someone's life
and obviously connected) corresponds well with Mezereum, when the
modalities fit etc - they just cannot communicate, have to be really
still, need warmth, there aren't always eruptions but one location is
often starting on one side of the face with the pain moving up to the
head following the lines of the nerves and because the nerves are
involved the pain leaves a numbness at some point - so it could be
described as a headache/migraine as well as something else actually
going on
she's had these migraines all her life, that is really strange and so
try and get her to remember when they started as it would be quite
fascinating if they started with CP and with her having shingles as
well makes me really curious about mezereum because it is one of the
top rx to think about with these sort of sx
the pain can be so intense that they feel like they want to die - there
is also a 'delusion as if all is dead' so pain and deadness figure
quite strongly in the rx sx picture
they are also chaotic, (mez is in the chaotic rubric), their lives are
often between a rock and hard place and so eventually pain and total
indifference prevails as they try to escape the two extremes that their
life might represent and they become motionless and want to die
mezereum is one of the spurges and spurge = purge and that is what they
are trying to do really both physically and emotionally
why did you decide against chel in the end
hope you get this, this time. Best wishes, Joy

Re: Migraine
Dear Joy,
Thanks for this. I don't know what is happening to the posts!!
I have asked her about the chicken pox and migraines but as yet she hasn't answered my email.
I really can't remember why I decided to try Nat Sulp first rather than the Chel but I do remember when typing out the follow up and analysing and doing more work on the rep I had already started to regret it! I suppose the agg she is getting from the Nat Sulph may prove to be curative in some way but I will have to wait to find out. Also she didn't wish to book another appointment wanting things to settle down first. I don't know why but I have definitely found that those who find me via the Yellow Pages rarely have the staying power of the 95% who come from recommendation and I know other local homeopaths agree with me. At least she is still communicating via email.
Regards
Rochelle.
