Finally it would give a beautiful overvieuw of every stage and after

Maybe that should be the information to put on Simon's website at the
end of every month.
Then maybe we can use the website of someone else to put the remedy
pictures on that emerge during the first weeks.
That way we would get no confusion.
Then one place someone can look for well known remedy's that would
have a very broad and indept character, but where it is made very
clear what part is authentic and what part is speculative, and at the
other place you would be able to compare remedy's on basis of their
chemical point of vieuw.

Would be a great group of remedy's to start with and see if it will
work, and if it will, we could start in June with stage 1 and work
our way up.
May starts next sunday so everyone would have a week to think about
witch well known remedy from stage 8 he wants to have researched.
Then what would come up during that first week would be our basic
material that everyone would be able to see growing.
The first week the growing would then be limited with material that
is authentic.
Hope everyone will agree and participate.

Re: Minerals
Dear listmembers
Maybe this is not the time and place to start the mineralresearch.
Because on one hand I agree with Julian that it is very important to
learn everything about the old homeopaths, on the other hand I want
to take what ever is needed in consideration.
But after the openharted letter he wrote, it would feel inappropriate
to get it started.
Dear Julian, I wish you all the strength you need and thank you for
your honesty.

Re: Minerals
Then why not begin by focusing on what's available from "the old guys"
and provings, and include such things as relationships (complementaries
etc.) and family analysis, both of which were very much encouraged by
Hahnemann and various "old guys", and also spoken favorably of by
Julian himself? That would bring things to a level that feels more
manageable to me, personally, but would still I think offer plenty of
useful material.
As tribute to Julian we could also try to include notes as to who first
proved/used the remedy, and note whether/how its usage has expanded in
the years since?

Would be fine by me. Then we would have to leave out Plutonium at
this time, because the proving was to recent.I do not know when the
Osmium proving was, but if it was also to recent we could just stick
to Ferrum and its compounds for now.
So that would mean for this week: "Ferrum from Hahnemann to Kent".
Some questions could be:
Who did the first proving of Ferrum Arsenicum. Is there a case of
Ferrum Metallicum by Hahnemann. What are the mindsymptoms from Ferr-
met, Ferr-phos and Ferr-iod, that came from their first provings.
Where do some strange rubrics in the repertory come from, with Ferrum
as the only remedy, like this one: Mind, delusions, intoxicated,is;
he: water when walking; on seeing flowing. And even more important,
what does it mean
In the homeopathic drugpictures from Tyler I read:
"The very word Ferrum suggests anemia and possibly to many of us
nothing else; while perhaps few of us associate Iron, apart from
anemia, with digestive troubles. We are wrong: Iron, the Stomach and
Anemia form three sides of a triangle"
Personally I find this very interesting.
Not to jump to any conclusions, on the contrary, it could lead to
more questions then answers at this time.
So being far from complete but just see what ancient valuable quotes
will come to the surface.
Would this be something to start with?

Well great because I am interested in the cough of Osmium
I do not have so much original old books so I will use Concordant
Materia Medica from Vermeulen to write down the cough of Osmium,
Ferrum metallicum and Ferrum phosphoricum.
Osmium:
Spasmodic; feels as if membrane were torn from larynx. Noisy, dry,
hard, in violent short paroxysms, coming from low down, shaking whole
body. Spasmodic, & twitching of fingers. Spasmodic; sounds as if
coughing in an empty tub [or as if caused by resonance in contiguous
parts]. Short bursts of cough from irresistible tickling in larynx.
Ferrum metallicum:
Dry, spasmodic; tickling [in trachea], lying down; after
eating; must sit up to raise sputum. Apt to be dry in evening after
lying down. Dry, tickling, & bloodspitting. Worse: abuse of tea,
quinine, brandy, tobacco smoke; from loss of fluids; when moving;
violent exertion; after walking; at night. Only in daytime. Gastric,
Ferrum phosphoricum:
Short, painful, tickling. Hard, dry, & sore chest. Worse at night; &
much rattling of mucus in chest, wich is also most marked at night.
Short, painful, tickling, hacking, tormenting, spasmodic, < morning
and evening; < going into open air. Tormenting, when bending head
forward or touching larynx. Paroxysmal, most at night or during day
when asleep. Whooping cough & retching and vomiting.

Re: Minerals
From Kent's lectures on Materia Medica about motion:
Ferrum metallicum:
A strange thing running through all the constitutional conditions of
Ferrum is that the pains and sufferings come on during rest. The
palpitation sometimes comes on during rest, the dyspnoea comes on
during rest, and even the weakness. The patient is ameliorated by
moving gently about, but any exertion tires and causes faintness. Any
rapid motion aggravates the complaints. The pains are ameliorated by
moving about the house slowly, so that the exertion does not excite
or fatique.
Ferrum arsenicum:
The longer he lies the more resless he becomes; must get up and walk
about. Motion aggravates inflamed parts, but ameliorates the patient.
Desire to move.
Ferrum iodatum:
Motion increases many symptoms; desire to move.
Ferrum phosphoricum:
Many symptoms are worse lying in bed and from rest, and ameliorated
by moving slowly about, but the great lassitude compels him to lie
down. Motion that is a real exertion aggravates, but slow motion
ameliorates.
