Hi Irene,
Isn't it interesting that the different remedies can treat the same problem? I am basing my recommendation on Will Taylor's lecture on wound remedies. He is not the god of remedies, but he had a nice explanation for how the pain is right on the joint when it is ruta. He has beautiful pictures of appaneura (spelling? the thin sheets of connective tissue surrounding such joints.) He differentiated the appaneura damage from tendon damage. Since both tissues are present at the elbow, I wonder if one could differentiate appaneura damage from tendon damage. He said that repetative strain injuries were frequently ruta. He also went through a long list of remedies, I think he was hedging his bets. Also he discussed how the Ruta patient is extremely irritable. Short tempered. Can't put any weight on the joint. How were you feeling emotionally when you used Causticum?
I think of Bryonia as very dry. Drying out of the bursa. Like the tissues would be drying out. Concerned with business. Can't get things done because of the injury.

Hello Everyone,
Thank you very much for all your comments and suggestions on the curing of my tennis elbow. There have been so many that I am feeling confused as to what to do next. I took the bryonia 30c three times in a water solution over the past few days. Each time it helped somewhat but the pain came back. Mostly this is characterized by weakness in the right arm/elbow joint and pain when trying to lift or do any gardening or typing on the computer. Do I continue with the same remedy/dose for a few more days? Do I switch to a different strength or a different remedy all together?
Thanks again for your invaluable help and information.
Julie

Yes I would continue with this potency until it doesn’t work anymore and then go up. Repeat when the pain returns.

Going down would be another possibility. Especially with physical things, and especially when remedy is based on something like tissue affinity rather than full case, I do sometimes find that lower potencies are more effective -- so I would consider trying both and see. E.g. 6 or 12.

200 tends to be the next potency

the remedy sounds like a good remedy for you but not high enough in potency to cure (or it could be that there is a better remedy match too - can't tell from this online converation). If you think the remedy is working, I would go to 200c in water as I shared, succussing before each subsequent dose to raise the potency a little.

Dear Julie,
We don't know anything about your current level of health. So it is hard to respond. Functions like circulation matter. Age? How often do you get colds and flus (immune responses)? Do you have other diseases? You don't have to be personal, but we need some approximate information.
Best,
Ellen

I am 59 years old and in reasonably good health. I have been getting sick more often in this past year - flu and bronchitis. I have good circulation and no major health problems. I do have carpal tunnel in my left wrist which I would like to deal with through homeopathy at some point. I have had this for many years and have put off surgery. I also was recently diagnosed with a bad hip which would require a hip replacement, but not now. My blood pressure has been a little high at times, but recently it has been fine. I do have depression. No other health issues that I can think of.

I was using a classical homeopath for my dog and then myself, but I stopped. She had an extremely difficult personality and she began mixing her strong political views into her private practice, which I thought was very unprofessional.
I really appreciate this group so far. I just stumbled upon it by accident.

Thanks,
Julie

Hi Julie,
Thanks for your response. Could you specify the side of the body where all the physcial ailments occur including the tennis elbow? Can't be sure I can help, but I am getting a picture now.
