I mentioned in my previous email this is a misinterpretation of the rule
not to keep products CONTAINING any controlled substance.
So for example you will see places that do importing like
homeopathyovernight, DO carry and sell them.
Here for example is Opium in potency:
http://www.homeopathyovernight.com/prod ... &PT_ID=all
Or if that link is too long to use easily, just go to
homeopathyovernight.com
and enter papaver in the search box,
It will come up "PAPAVER (Opium)" and click that to get a full list of
options (the link I put in above).

A lot of places do not bother to find out the rules and follow them -
they just use fear as a basis to do business instead, and stay away from
anything they are not sure of.
Shame on them!

I should probably mention - this is NOT the only way to get something in
the HPUS - but homeopathic pharmacists have found it the easiest rule to
use to get something accepted. The hoops to jump with other options are
allopathically painful and inappropriate for homeopathy - double blind
trials and so forth.
They do not put ALL the rules on the website - certainly not the
one I mentioned as the easiest route - they instead refer you to the
HPUS itself for "details" and which if you do not have a hardcopy you
are stuck with the on-line access that costs a fortune:

QUOTE: (from HPUS.com)
------------------
Access to the HPUS Online Database
The HPCUS currently provides three subscription options:
(Prices are in U.S. Dollars)
# 1 Day (24 Hours) $29.00 (1 user)
# 30 Days $99.00 (1 user)
# 1 Year $1000.00 (1 user)
# 1 Year Corporate $15,000.00 (unlimited number of users)
------------------
END QUOTE

How's that for misuse of the internet as an information source, and a
way to further block homeopathy progress. How many pharmacies have
$15,000.00 to toss about each year to look up something for the odd
customer?
You can look up drug monographs of any allopathic drug for free of course.

Well, that's interesting!
I'll withhold "judgment" a while longer, see what I hear back.

You said you had tried to get Carcinosin into HPUS but couldn't because
there isn't a "self-limiting condition" it's useful for--what about
allergies (attacks come and go) or constipation, or tics?

Dear members,
I have to apologize for my answer a few days ago. I was too quick.
I called a firm that makes hom. remedies and asked them.
Since 2001 in The Netherlands we have a law that wants us to get all the
homeopathic remedies registrated. Like you have in the US the HPUS. The
nosodes and remedies like opium and cannabis are not registrated still.
The nosodes are the most difficult because of our " donor law."
Difficult to give a piece of your cancer of from your mucus etc legal to
a firm that makes a homeopathic remedie from it.
We can buy all the remedies in Germany and Belgium. Because they don't
have the same laws as in The Netherlands.

Hi Sorcha,

you will hardly be able to get a nosode in Germany (or afak other
European countries incl. Switzerland but perhaps excluding the UK).

Thanks for that added legal angle! But I wonder, would a Netherlands
pharmacy be able to obtain a low potency of a nosode or "controlled
substance" etc. from an overseas pharmacy, then run it up in potency
and sell themselves? I'd think that would get around the donor law?

What's the obstacle in Germany?
This is all a bit creepy!! The nosodes are such a BASIC need for
homeopathic practice!!! (As is *any* remedy, when that is the one
that's needed...)
