What a lovely and inspiring observation!
I suppose I prefer to view it as mnemonic as a starting point, just
because there is too much room for error of various sorts, in trying to
project the qualities of one species onto another. For e.g. reading
the proving of horse's milk the provers noted that they had been
surprised by some of what came out; they'd expected feelings of
freedom, running over the wild prairies, things like that, but of
course what came out was very different. Well, I am keeping an open
mind about it, and will keep your observation in mind!
