So it's okay if they "feel tons better" quickly and then specific problems
pass off more slowly (whew!). One thing I've seen many times, and have
always taken to be a good sign, is when the good ol' inner wellbeing takes a
leap, so that suddenly they don't so much *mind* the fact that other things
(the "tedious ailments") are changing more slowly.

I tend to agree with you regarding the quote below. It is refering to
chronic dx. and does not apply in this particular case as an acute, I have
seen powerful sx. disappear within minutes of a remedy being taken. Very
powerful sx. lots of energy/reaction we looking at higher potency. But
having said that, do not forget that homeopathy is a gentle and effective
medicine, no need to be frightend, just caring and consciencious, right
attitude, confidence is important (not overconfidence) once you have decided
go for it, you have done your best. Sometines the client and practitioner
need to have an experience, we can not choose what the experience will be,
whatever the outcome it is right at that moment, it is the intent that
matters. Afterall she is your client and only you can get the feel of what
is going on, you know her, treated her before, what kind of person she is,
has she had this kind of experience before -lots of stuff going on- are we
all going sycotic over this case, are we over reacting- maybe not, just an
idea!

The new troublesome symptoms would be the sudden and severe headache, and
the "too vivid" dreams. Aside from that it seems to have been a return to
the prior withdrawal state, except that her emotional state seemed worse
than before (can't say yet how significantly, tho). Getting full
information has been *hard*, because so often her only answer will be "...
um, I don't know!" Or, "I can't remember," etc., and she (in certain
too-frequent states) gets frustrated and then angry if I ask too many
questions that are too difficult for her -- and yes, I will look for a
remedy that covers this!

She's been ill for a long time *but* not with withdrawal symptoms; the
codeine has been for about 4 months (since the taro), and the withdrawal
itself began only a week or so ago, so I assume that prompt relief of these
would be "acceptable"! What confused and alarmed me was her very bad
response to the second dose, and that does seem related to the quote that
Rosemary put up.

Given the (?)"acuteness" of the situation, I wouldn't have thought that 30c
24 hours apart was unreasonable ???

I would have chosen to start with a lower potency *except* that she happened
to have 30c, and I did think that was low enough to suit. Maybe that was
the problem, I just don't know -- but I will do as you've said, and start
from the beginning re-taking her case. (Haven't reached her yet today.)
