Mishmashed? Sheri, what I wrote below tells no one ANYTHING about my understanding. I am simply stating what Mangialavore does (and students of his work and some others') successfully, and second part is a summary of what has been said here and elsewhere, and I'm not going to be defending it here. If anyone *else*, besides you or Joy, would like to ask for more information I might have a go. But if it's just between the three of us, let's do it privately.

Dear Colleagues
I have missed some of your posts, but have been thinking about the question of Constitution for a bit.
I think the following may explain it in a simple way.
Hn describes the vital force in good health as with a lot of sway, balancing things etc.
If we could imagine the body as a country, then the VF can be regarded as its government.
Now we may have different types of government. There is a full spectrum going from the extreme right wing (fascist) to the extreme left wing (communist). We may also have military rule or even a coalition government (two diseases?).
There may be various reasons why a country may have a particular form of a government.
Over a period of time a country may experience various types of government. Let us – for the sake of this example – agree that a democratic government is the best – translated to VF, it is the PERSON in perfect health.
As the conditions change, caused by external attacks, a democratic country may change to other forms of government – that is to say become diseased. Often entering a capital city, one can fairly quickly notice the action / present of various types of regimes. That is to say there are various sets of symptoms associated with various forms of government. An easy way is the way their newspapers and other media portray the government.
Similarly we as homeopaths see a set of critical symptoms in the patient which may lead us to say Puls, Lyc, Lach, Sulp, Phos, or Merc etc.
In other words, the patient’s symptoms give us good hints as to what form of Government their VF is imposing on them. That is to say a Puls type form of Government or a Merc type etc etc. What is important is that the patient’s constitution does not remain constant and would change. Hence the need to retake the case and prescribe a new remedy. This new remedy still could be called a constitutional remedy for that patient, treating the totality of the patient’s disease at that time.
Now rapid changes in Government leads to chaos. Please note that for the same reason a remedy may not be repeated or introduced without consultations with the patients GP.
Hope this has helped.
Regards

Soroush
