Re: History of Homeopathy - more on Decline of Homeopathy in US

Irene,
Your entire post is so defensive that my point will never get across to you. "Fran dear" is only talking down in your head. It is not talking down in my heart. It is merely an extra umph of sweetness, sort of like "Dear Fran" but with extra sweetness.
The homeopath that my sister-in-law went to had all of the credentials that I an educated homeopathic consumer could ask for. Again, I am speaking from the viewpoint of the consumer. It is YOUR job to make sure that credentialing means something. I looked and looked for hours and was pretty sure that I had someone who knew something. She said that her father was a homeopath back in India.
You try to deny the validity of my point and my viewpoint, and all that you do is defend your little island and you learn absolutely nothing from my experience and you alienate me.
I stand alone with regard to you, Irene, because you want to feel warm and security in your insular security blanket of "real" homeopathy.

You are talking down again. Fran must have made a good point:-)
Since nobody here knows if she saw a qualified homeopath or anything else about her situation. we are not in a position to suggest why she did not get what you wanted her to get.
You stand alone apparently.
It sounds like this is your complaint for your own self.
FINDING the right diet to stay on is more relevant than struggling to stay on it. The right diet helps you feel well and triggers feedback to get more of that.
A healthy diet is not about avoiding things, that is too negative and will never work.
A healthy diet is about enjoying things. If your healthy diet is not enjoyable enough to look forward to, then it is not the right diet for you.
It takes time and effort to find what you enjoy that is good for you.
A good starting place is KNOWING what is good for you - and then you can select favorites from that very long list and go for them.
The idea is to think about food when you want to think about food, but choose yummy stuff from the good list, it is plenty long enough.
It is a process, do not expect your diet to change overnight. YOu eed to practice using your yummy foods on the good list. And "grow" that list with experiments and new fun combinations.
A homeopath can help. YOUR inherited food likes and dislikes are fixed in your genes. For example as we just saw, Lycopodium types like acids and spices and are curious - it implies a SUITABLE direction of experimentation for that type. YOUR type will also have a suitable direction.
You can start it without a homeopath. There is a great deal of research on what foods go with certain genetic catgories or genotypes of person and with certain blood types. So you can check out the "Eat Right 4 Your Type Encyclopedia" to get lists of great foods for YOUR health - and the "Genotype Diet" for starter ideas - both by Dr Peter D'Adamo who did the research - and that will help get you started looking forward to eating well for you, better than random ones.
It's a process (to find your idividual enjoyable eating approach) - and if you want to stop enjoying headaches etc - you will START the process.
Namaste,
Irene
