It will be in some water supplies as well but I think someone already mentioned Scholten's stages - Titanium number 4, all about making decisions and commitment and what can hold one back is being dazzled by the possibility that change can happen. So that decision process is now underway for you it would seem :-)

Anyone know where and if there is a full proving of the potentised rx?

I can't remember the name of the one we've used in the (long ago) past;
have planned to just go thru the chiropractor that referred us in the
past. Once I find out, I'll let you know. I wish I could remember,
sorry...

Serum Biocompatibility Testing

This testing is the primary service/product of PEP. This testing
utilizes a serum blood specimen in a sophisticated fashion to help determine
on an individual basis what one's "least toxic" replacement dental materials
might be. The term "least toxic" is used here because all foreign substances
introduced into the body will provoke the immune system of the patient to
some degree. As the body's protector, the immune system wouldn't really be
doing its job if this didn't happen to some degree.

As an example, the components of a product such as the mercury amalgam
filling will consistently elicit a strong immune response in this in vitro
(test tube) type of environment. Products that produce such a strong
response from the immune system, quantified by the degree of serum clouding
resulting from protein precipitation upon the addition of a given chemical,
are felt to overtax the immune system over time. An overtaxed immune system
can open the door to a wide variety of medical problems. It will also
usually worsen whatever medical problems already exist.

Unfortunately, many replacement filling materials have one or more
chemicals in them that often result in a continuation of the immune trauma
typically initiated by mercury and other toxic substances found in the
mercury amalgam filling or other toxic dental materials. This can result in
little or no clinical improvement when these fillings are replaced.
Furthermore, stimulating a rapid detoxification after the removal of toxic
dental fillings can often worsen a patient's clinical condition and further
compromise the immune system. These issues are addressed in greater depth in
Uninformed Consent and Optimal Nutrition for Optimal Health, accessible by
the link on the upper left to "Dr. Levy's Books."

By using a sophisticated piece of equipment, the optical density of the
serum-chemical mixtures are determined, and a very objective measurement of
the degree of reactivity present is obtained. When any one of the separately
tested chemical components in a commercial dental product are found to have
significant reactivity in the testing cells, the entire dental product is
reported as having that amount of reactivity as a minimum. Because of this,
this testing tends to err on the side of conservatism. Only dental products
that have low reactivity to all tested components end up being recommended
for placement into the patient.

The report, which is over 30 pages in length, lists in categories of
"Highly Reactive," "Moderately Reactive," and "Least Reactive" over 1,000
different dental products, including composite fillings, crown materials,
bridge materials, cements, denture materials, and other materials. Nearly
all reports have some materials in the "Least Reactive" categories from
which the dentist may choose.

It is important to emphasize that the utilization of a dental material
from a "Least Reactive" category cannot be guaranteed to be a completely
safe choice. As with all other medical therapies and interventions, nothing
can be given unqualified support or recommendation. However, years of
clinical experience with this testing has consistently shown such a choice
to be vastly superior and preferable over random choice or over the choice
of any product from a "Highly Reactive" category. If you require the
enormously expensive "double-blind, prospective" studies proving that this
test is effective to your satisfaction, you won't find any, and this testing
is probably not for you. If you are more of a common sense type of person
who just wants to take every reasonable step to optimize the likelihood of
positive dental experience, then this testing may be of value to you.
For those who obtain this report, dentist referrals can be provided upon
request. Such dentists are believed by PEP to be the most aware and best
trained in dealing with patients looking for dental revision treatment.
However, PEP cannot guarantee you that a referred dentist will do everything
the way you want it done. Each dentist is an individual who does not answer
to PEP and is in no way an agent of PEP, and the patients must be proactive
to the point of making sure for themselves that the dental treatments are

I had a llama case earlier this year. A really big llama female, she
had a severed patella tendon after a fall so that the patella jumped
up inside her rear leg up the thigh. The vet pinned it down through
the longbones at the knee with titanium and the poor creature has had
a terrible time. A severe osteomyelitis ensued which travelled from
the knee area down the bone marrow through the epiphysis at the hock
joint, causing it to form a huge and hard calcification to freeze the
joint, isolating the infection internally, and feeding multiple
abscesses up at the knee joint. The knee was sore, but the hock had
her in agony.
Homeopathy has gotten her healed to a large extent, the hock is no
longer frozen and she is just starting to take weight on the leg -
which previously was held in the frozen lifted position and the vet
wanted to amputate..
Each situation is different. Personally I'd look for any way that
does not require something into the bone marrow area.
For the llama case in question, it's also a logistics problem. The
llama could not reasonably have been kept in a sling and told not to
move the leg. The muscle would pull the kneecap back up if it was not
held to the knee somehow.
I did not like the pinning approach but I do not know what other
options there are to mechanically keep things in place during healing.

If there is any way to avoid involving deep bone tissue I'd avoid it.
I also had a cat case with a badly broken foot. The vet wanted to do
the steel plate and pins thing there too - but
a soft cast was used (thanks to Dr Roz for advice in that case). The
first time the cat was too keen to get going and the whole thing re-
broke. But the second time round was a charm, the cast was changed
about every 2 weeks - but kept in place long enough for proper
healing - and the cat is king of the castle again. (The vet is now a
convert to homeopathy as he'd never seen that kind of fast bone
healing before).
By contrast my son had some screws and pins in his foot when he fell
two stories at age 10, and smithereened his foot.
The fine wire pins which criss-crossed like knitting with bits of
bone beads on them - are long since removed, leaving joined bones.
But the screws are still there. In addition he had a further surgery
at age 16 (when the foot is full grown) to lengthen the metatarsal
bones that did not grow due to growth plate damage, using bone
material from the excessive callus bone from the earlier breaks in
there, and to put the 2nd toe back on straight (it had a 90 degree
bend). The screws to hold the lengthened bones together are still
there now - but no plates. Two screws are near enough to the
surface that he has to be careful what shoes he wears but other than
that he has had no issues with the foot. He can walk, is a top
chyclist, and can hike long distance. he can run a bit before it
hurts, he does not limp at all. All in all his foot is a major
triumph for some fantastically good surgery.
The first guys to look at the mess he started with thought they
should leave it alone and "see what happens" as it was too much a
mess to help in any way. (His mama had other ideas and got some other
surgeon guys off the golf course....)

Your case speaks of steel and titanium.
Any time you MIX two metals, you get galvanic corrosion between them,
where they touch.
I have to wonder whether the metal mix was at fault for the problems.
In the llama case, I suspect the surgery was not properly sterile and
they failed to clean well or keep the fur and such out well enough.
I've seen too many vets be rather sloppy with furry critters. Bone is
VERY susceptible to infection when it is exposed and broken, as when
pins go through.
The cat case was like your brother's - no extra bone damage was added
-and I see that as something to avoid if at all possible.
Too soon to see if the Llama (a pulsatilla ICT) has long-term
effects, but if I see some over time I'll mention it here.
Her pins are still there, and the reason is partly to ensure full
healing of the tendon first but also partly because the nearest vet
is 800 miles away (in a remote part of Canada) and nobody wants to
have an "accident" with the leg during transport of a heavy llama
with an injured leg. She can not cush (go down into lying down
position for a llama) comfortably due to the hock issue yet.

Steel can have any number of added metals, and is really a category
of metal mixtures (alloys) rather than a specific metal.
"Stainless" steel also comes in dozens of alloys.
It was my understanding that titanium is accepted more readily by the
body - and that steel is cheaper.
After all there are gazillions of titanium knee and hip implants,
with no other metals touching or involved and which seem to work well.

My own suspicion would be with the steel or especially with any two
different metals touching - as in titanium screws and steel plates.
That always leads to one metal sending bits of itself to the other -
called galvanic corrosion.
