Simon, Your metaphor is right. We all have blocks in the climbing of spiritual energy from lower to higher energy centers. The lowest center has the earth, survival mentality. Whatever gets up to the top, you physically can feel it. No kidding. For me, the opening is further forward for women. But my scalp is tender hurts more where a man should hurt. Go figure. Need a remedy?

I have never heard of meditation causing sore spots on the head but
that means nothing except you are the first to present me with that Sx!
That females in your experience get it in a different spot is again
not something I have heard before.
No doubt meditation related Sx will find their way more and more into
the reps as so many people practice now
