Re: Siddha and Ayurveda as Homeopathy
Well I looked in Allen's MM and although he does not write precisely who
took how much and when, when I read the General (Reference Works) it seems
he describes proving experiences.
Also in Blackwood apparently, and copied in Murphy.
Dr. J. Rozencwajg, MD, PhD.

OK - I was just taking Joy's word that it hadn't been proved
I thought that would have been strange as she wrote an article in the
SOH mag on it!

Is it always clear in the textual differentiation between provings, toxicology reports and clinical reports?

Hi JAgannath,
This is very interesting!
I would really like to understand what you understand are the "grave
dangers" with regard to being unfamiliar or not properly disposed
towards interfering with these energies?
From the homeopahtic perspective, we also need to realise that
prescribing homeopathic potencies without proper indications or ill
understood "speculative" theories to alter "energy patterns" needs to
be undertaken with extreme caution.
thanks I'll loof forward to your answer,

Re: Siddha and Ayurveda as Homeopathy
Dr.Leelah-
Kundalini yoga is very powerful and is not to be trifled with. IF
there are ethereal layers or sheaths of energy as some clairvoyants
say then it is not the same level of vital force we are talking
about in homeopathy.or Homeopathy probably deals with the same
energy in a milder way... Kundalini yoga deals with the energy much
more directly and intensely... meditative and tantric practices deal
with this directly.. I have had some patients who came for hypnotic
treatment after attempting Kundalini yoga on their own... though the
cause of their problems is not Kundalini their original problems had
been exacerbated because of their practice...
When the practice of Yoga helps in controlling the smooth flow and
ascension of the "Yogic" power to various energy knots of the body
people have different experiences and if this is not controlled we
have correctly this could turn the experience into bad experience. I
trained in Kundalini yoga for sometime under some gurus and on
initiation had an unusual tingling sensation in the point between
my eyebrows; from the first session itself I noticed a change in
outlook which existed for about 3 months...Though I did not practice
it a lot afterwards, even now I can go into an altered state of
consciousness at the drop of a hat just by taking a deep breath in a
particular way...
We cannot connect all things in the world with homeopathy... there
are many more things in Ayurveda and Siddha that are powerful in a
diffferent way for which we do not have an equivalent...

Re: Siddha and Ayurveda as Homeopathy
Hi Hahnemannian,
Thanks for your explanation.
Any energy is not to be trifled with, is what I believe.
I was interested in specifically what JAgannath was saying as people
need to realise learning a fancy new theory does not automatically
mean that they ahve to try out these methods for "altered states of
consciouness".
There is much about energies in the universe that we have no spiritual
knowlege about - and its important to be wary or else extremely
cautious and not just get into something on a FAD. Especially when not
properly trained.
It leaves ones soul open to destructive influence of energies in the
"universe" whcih can be very difficult to deal with in the long term
The parallel to homeopathy is in no way intended to make a
"connection" between the two.
My intention is to place the same sense of caution in using
homeopathic remedies based on illdefined methods and procedures that
are not properly mastered, which play with the vital force and its
"patterns and disturbenaces" and leave indelible imprints of disease
and suppression that cannot be undone in the long term.
Even provings can cause these longterm effects on the vital force if
one is not careful in the dosings.
THanks,
D.r leela

Re: Siddha and Ayurveda as Homeopathy
From the linked text "Do not look at a woman—even the photo or picture
of a lady. Do not talk about women."
ROTFLMAO!
-Well I certainly can see where homeopathy might come in useful for a
male person (are females permitted too?) in such a discipline!

I cannot concede that there is any person who is suffering who might
not benefit from homeopathy. Just because someone is on a 'spiritual'
path, why should they become exempt from all and any illness? Is such a
'path' devoid of stumbling blocks? I very much doubt it.
Whether Kundalini yoga or any other 'spiritual' discipline (including
those practices popular in the west like Reiki, Tai Chi etc. -the list
is long:-)) - all will potentially require help in one form or another
when energy blocks are encountered as the practice precipitates change.
Homeopathy can help, irrespective of the level of attained
consciousness, i.e. homeopathy is not dependant upon or exclusively
for, unrealised souls. I have encountered many Yogis of various
disciplines and whilst they may be generally healthier I cannot say
they are exempt form all forms of illness by dint of their being on a
spiritual path.
Finally I do not concede that these practices (Kundalini or otherwise)
are dangerous, except to those that might already be mentally or
emotionally unwell, and except where they require unnatural ways of
living, eating or behaving. (like cutting your tongue). A practice is
only dangerous if it is unnatural: as human being have been designed
with the potential to attain enlightenment built in, the path to that
cannot be unnatural.

And if you dwell on all of the mad, bad and sad things in the world I
wouldn't too sure about that built in ability to attain enlightenment
either. Best wishes, Joy

Re: Siddha and Ayurveda as Homeopathy
I know of no practice that recommends dwelling on the negative aspects
of life a s a means of enlightenment.
However there is nothing to stop us starting one up!
Oh hang on , didn't Andy Warhol already do that?( wasn't nihilism his
thing?)
BTW I said 'potential' not ability. It might be a fine line, but....
