Making reference to your vague use of terms is why I mention it so that people think about how to take a case with due care and attention instead of being misled with vague use of terms.
Again you seem to be mixing emotional issues that an animal may have with mental sx - with the example you give - hence the need for further clarity. Emotional sx do not mean mental sx. Would you mix up the sx of grief with sx of mental dullness that presented as an inability to comprehend numbers for example.
Joy
Is that what you do or why do you mention it?
I do not always see derangement (depending how you define it) but i
do always see mind characteristics, an I never omit them in a chronic
case. Hence I had said:
For example in selecting a remedy for each of two FIP cases,
although there may be identical physical symptoms, the difference in
the mind sx will decide the remedy - one cat may be hanging out away
from people, not wanting contact and the other may be on the owner's
lap but not liking strangers. First may get China, and 2nd may get
Lyc, (all else being equal and matching.)
In my view it is not possible to have a chronic disease without
having mind sx (or even an acute).
In homeopathy a sx is not always like an allopathic symptom -
homeopathy considers much more subtle ones as in this example (taken
from actual cases.) But there always are mind sx and I consider them
very relevant in every case..

Irene
