Soothing an aggravation

Someone on another list recently said something similar: That since
most aggravations occur at the physical level (though I've seen
clear emotional involvement as well), the lower potencies are in a
position to deal with the physical symptoms that emerge as a result
of the aggravation.

Thank you, Feras. You make very good sense, particularly with your
description of how similar as opposed to equal determines the
difference between ameliorating and intensifying.

Arsenicum his problem will aggravate. The law of homeopathy is to
give a remedy similar to the patient's condition not exactly equal.
If you put a burnt hand in fire it will be damaged, not healed,
because it is exactly equal. But if you put it in warm water it will
be benefited very much. It is still strange to me and I can't
understand the whole phenomenon well but it is a fact. This is also
the case with the antidoting of a remedy with exactly the same
remedy. You have to alter the potency otherwise you will aggravate
the condition.

This is the only procedure that I have ever used, as I have found it
