Hello Hn2002,
You see no difference between taking a case in person, and taking a case
via email?
That really does not compute!
I am able to tell quite a lot about a person face-to-face .. without ANY
words at all.
Then, when words begin to flow, there are near-infinite nuances of body
language, facial expression, vocal inflection, and more--- ALL LOST in
email.
A great deal of the ART of homeopathy is CASE TAKING.
If one is willing to give that up for (what?)
expediency, or for the ability to collect $$ for email consultation..
I suggest re-thinking of values may be in order.
The idea that there are all kinds of homeopathy is a very unfortunate
one; even more unfortunate is that that particular idea is sadly EASILY
verified by all the crap that is being called homeopathy. (thanks for
the dowsing anectdote.)
Referring back to the topic of this list (classical homeopathy)
What technology is it that you believe replaces the practitioner's face
to face casetaking ?
The type of hack-homeopathy where a presenting complaint is
superficially prescribed on without an eye toward holism lends itself to
email consult.. but this bears little resemblance to what the founder,
Hahnemann teaches in his writing.
I would hope and pray that someone adopting the founder of homeopathy's
name as an email address.. would be interested in promoting the concept
of practicing in a manner consistent with Hahnemann's teachings.
From my understanding of those teachings, it is my job to attempt cure
at the very deepest level which I can perceive.
-and even if you have teleconferencing, you cannot perceive even 50% of
what you can in a personal interview.
In attempting to treat via EMAIL, you are down to +/- 5% of what a keen
observer should be able to take in via personal interview.
Given that a large percentage of living humans could benefit from
RESPONSIBLE classical homeopathic treatment..
I remain convinced that anyone who attempts to collect fee$ for
attempting homeopathy via email is selling his soul, and selling
homeopathy out for short-term personal gain, and cheating the client of
the opportunity to engage in homeopathic treatment which might alter the
course of h/ir life for the better.. instead of a quick fix of a
presenting complaint.
