I have just found in Murphy Wind agg - sulphur in ordinary type (as was Thuja ) However I have found in RU, Face; discoloration; red; weather; cold, in:, sulph[1] However I suppose that isn't the same as flushing.

I wouldn't say it was that normal but you would use this if it was very much
part of the case and bordering on extremes. Often it is just someone's nose
that might turn red but this will mean much more of the whole face.

Dear Jean,
I have just got around to looking at this Rx and I really like it! for him! It's a pity there is only Scholten to look at about it but at least he gave us a case. Thank you so much for pointing it out to me. I am still waiting for him to answer my email questions after which I will make a decision.

A couple of weeks ago we were discussing this case and Patricia came up with NOSE coryza, stool, during: thuj because I was considering Sulphur and Thuja. It has taken 2 weeks for this lad to e mail me back the answers to my questions one of which was "Is there any time when you have your blocked nose that it runs? If so what colour is the discharge." The answer was a straight "no". So that's the end of that one!!

So we now have sweating amel. or even < supressed sweat. Now I can find Ailments from suppressed perspiration in Murphy but not in RU. Can anyone help me out here? In RU I found in Generalities Perspiration amel Sulp in black type but thuja plain type however I am confused because there is also Mod. Perspiration amel During , and another Perspiration amel After but have decided it's none of those because as long as he perspires he is OK!!

Sulphur is there as black type and I think that is now good enough for me and I may take him round some tonight. My only thought is what potency. Not 200 as that may agg. Possibly 1M. I don't really think I have much faith in 1 dose of 30 as I reckon most people would benefit from that!!

Any comments appreciated as usual!

Apart from the fact that there is a h/o antibiotics and thus some
suppression, why not make this your first LM case. And why do you not have
faith in a single dose of 30c - I don't understand this.

I don't think so !!!! C potencies have worked for me so far so why change?

I look on a 30 for a constitutional prescription as something I would only give a child or a highly sensitive, immune suppressed adult and then I would give a split dose. It's just that I have always been a high prescriber and have been lucky that it has worked for my patients. I used to give 1 dose and wait but after attending Dr Ramakrishnans post grad course I was impressed when he reckons that we don't prescribe often enough and sometimes lose the patient through that. His standard prescription is 3 pillules of 200C 4x in a day and repeat in a fortnight. He doesn't appear to get any major aggs . I have tried this prescribing on occasions and it's worked well. His standard for an acute is 30 or 200 , 6 to 10 times in a day for 2 days!! As usual we all do things different ways with posology and I reckon that as long as it works for you and your patients it probably doesn't matter too much how you prescribe provided we are talking about 1 remedy at a time which is homeopathic to the patient at that time.

Just to add to that: Did not Hahnemann say something like: "The greatest
mistake I can make is toconsider that a remedy is too dilute..."
