Firstly to Toni - it wasn't NBWS PSA. Those 2 acronyms were together because
someone asked what they meant. It is a case of NBWS the surgeon revealed to
him that 3 of the samples of prostate that he removed had PREcancerous cells
in. (although he insists on calling them cancerous!!)

Robyn- what you say is so right and I think this patient is clinically
depressed. The latest is that he phoned me - and amazingly sounded far more
animated on the phone than he did when he was sat with me. He acts like
other clinically depressed patients do in that he puts on an act for the
Grandchildren etc. He phoned to say that he went to the Doctor yesterday and
was given anti depressants and wanted to know if he can take them and mine
Rx!! No comment!! I explained and said that I couldn't tell him not to take
them and that it is up to him etc etc - We will see where it goes!! I am
beginning to think that IF he believes that the anti depressants are going
to do the trick he should take them and then I will support him in coming
off them when he feels better. I didn't tell him this but told his wife. I
have left it to him if he wants to continue the Ars 30 WP for a few more
days on its own.

I feel I will hear from the family again, as I said his daughter and Grand
daughter have been patients and are cured of their problems now.
Interestingly it was Ars which sorted his 3 year old granddaughter out. We
went from 30 to 1M in 9 months. His daughter just needed a couple of doses
of Puls 200.

Wouldn't this fall into a category such as NBWS (Ailments from) bad news?
I'm not sure I understand the concept of NBWS PSA. Sure, I know what PSA
is, but NBWS prostate specific antigen? Hmmm. I think this warrants a look
at Ailments from ordeals, or Ailments from bad news, or even Ailments from
fright, etc.

There is a SRP symptom of red wine amel. He has a glass of this before his
evening meal and this gets rid of the constant nausea and gives him his
appetite back. He has also noticed that he can play a game of golf and is fine while
playing i.e. occupation amel.
I thought of Calc Ars but he is not chilly and reading the MM I wasn't
convinced. If this was Kali Brom I would expect the usual hand gestures. He just
sat there with a blank look really like I would expect in Hellebores but this
Rx doesn't appear to have the anxiety. The other Rx I thought of is Buddleia as
it has NBWS operations and has a fear of hospitals.
Has anyone any suggestions as I feel this is rather a desperate case. He
didn't sound suicidal to me but I am not a psychiatrist. He did say he had a fear
of hospitals.
The case is presented on the Homeopaths (closed) list as I haven't asked
permission to post.

In my opinion - however without knowing the details - Arsenicum was all right
but too weak. C 1000 would have been much better.
Ca-arsenicosum has 3 fundamental features which have to be ALWAYS present:
these people are always alcoholics and do drink on a 3-4 months base - bouts of
severe drinking a few days than for months nothing, so not everyday drinking
which is a different sort of alcoholism; than, they dream of birds and things
related to them and they had a severe nephritis as children with consequent
persistent Albuminuria as adults. Besides, as almost all of Ca-salts, they do
live in one town their whole life.
Keep going on Arsenicum in the first place and follow the case closely.
