People there are farmers mostly and they just eat meat, bread and potatoes.

I know someone who grew the most gorgeous plot of organic spinach, and she
grew way too much, who couldn't give it away to ANYONE. It all went to the

When I was instructed in the use of Lucose's Iodine (the kind used by labs to stain slides, etc) I was given the following info:

start with 1 drop a day in water.
increase a drop a day up to 7-14 drops (1-2 weeks)
then decrease a drop a day down to 1 or 2 drops (another 1-2 weeks)
stop after another 2-4 weeks.
Maximum time 1-2 months on iodine

DO NOT TAKE FOR LONG PERIODS MORE THAN 1-2 drops a day.

According to the info given:
Overdosing on Iodine can worsen hypothyroid ,etc.
Small doses of iodine can correct hypothyroid, goitre, breast lumps (non-cancerous), help lose weight.

Also that a "patch test" with ordinary iodine would help determine the need for iodine.
on a light coloured and usually untouched part of the body smear a coin sized patch of iodine. (eg the belly, upper inner arm, etc) don' t wash the patch for 24 hours. measure how fast it is absorbed into the skin. the faster it goes, the more the need of iodine. i've seen it disappear on some in an hour and on others in 2 days. 18-24 hours would be "normal".

I would imagine "talkativeness" and "arguementiveness" would be early homeopathic signs of overdose... I've met homeopathic cases of Iodine, they all have these qualities.

My patient is trying the iodine test today!!! She managed to find some 2.5% iodine solution which contained potassium (probably as the iodide)!!
