I would do the same - in an ideal world. But many of the people I see don't
live a healthy life, and aren't going to change. Their lives will continue
to be stressful, they will continue to have a life-style that is healthy
etc. I treat people who do many things that will make them susceptible; so I
do what I can for them - whilst giving them the best advice I can. So I am
into 'short-cuts too - when necessary.

Yup, I can understand that...
I sort of flip between "two minds" about those sorts of questions: on the
one hand it seems sort of like an "enabler" to support someone in lousy
lifestyle choices; on the other hand, who am I to assume I know what they
"should" do... And having put it that way, well... I see your point.
