Re: New member
While still controversial, homeopathy Jan Scholten explored the periodic table from a homeopathic point of view.
He looked at the nature of the energy of the remedies by column and by row and found progression on both directions,
not just from the chemistry perspective but from the homepathic remedy perpective. He has written several books and
teaches. Some find his methodology of case taking very helpful in filling in some blanks of our understanding for elements
that have not been proven—or even discovered yet. I think the last part is what makes many homeopaths skeptical.
So if chemistry is your interest I would suggest reading his work.
I do agree with Irene’s post totally, tho, and others who promote learning the Organon, especially the 6th edition, as
imperative to learning homeopathy.

Hi Morgana,
With the Organon, you might note that certain aphorisms follow on from each other, kind of expanding on an idea. So when you read the aphorisms in two's, afterwards try and note the start and end of each theme and then go through those in one go to cement the idea hahnemann is trying to get across.

Dear Morganna
The works of Scholton of the remedies 'made' from the elements listed on the periodic table is highly theorised.
You certainly do not need to use it to be regarded as a 'good' homeopath.
Whereas David Little's writings can be used by a homeopath at almost any stage of training, the works of Scholton and Sankran should be for very experienced homeopaths.

H Sheri. I'm from Wales, a little place called Cwm, but will be moving shortly. My husband has been offered a job in Bristol, so we'll be moving down there soon.
I've used homeopathy in the past for both me and my husband, mainly for minor ailments, but have always got good results. I was introduced to the teachings of David Little through a friend of mine many, many years ago and I've never looked back. Everything I know comes mainly from him and Dr Luc. I just wish I could understand the periodic table more. My mind goes a blank. I just can't take it in. I notice you're a Homeopath. Do you find you need to know the periodic table to be able to succeed at homeopathy?

Thank you for accepting me as a member. I've been interested in homeopathy for a long time now and have mainly taught myself by reading a lot of David Little's works and Dr Luc and others as well. This is the first time I've joined a forum, mainly out of interest to learn more. Looking forward to being able to participate soon.

Hi Tanya, thanks for the info. I'm leaving the periodic table well alone. I'll never understand it! I'm just glad, for someone like me, it's not relevant to learning homeopathy properly.

Hi Soroush,
So glad to hear it. I'm not aiming to be a homeopath, just want to learn it the best I can and use it confidently for friends and family etc. I like to understand what I'm doing with the whys and the wherefores, rather than just parrot-fashion.

No it isn’t necessary to learn the principles of homeopathy. When/if practicing understanding the dynamics of the table can offer
a took for anayzying cases.

Thanks for writing. THi is not far fetched to me as homeopathy has to have something to do with electromagnetic frequency and the periodic table has groups (rows/colms) with a specific progression in electron positions and numbers. It is not beyond reason that these are related.
I'll add to my wish list for reading.

Thanks,
' Irene
