please. Feel free.
Long ago I did the calculations. To get CLOSE to a harmful dose of
arsenic, one would have to eat (at one sitting) 8,000 bottles (125
one grain tablets in each) of the 6X potency.
ONLY if there is susceptibility and the remedy is repeated. Taking a
single bottle at one time is like one dose.

I can vouch for the safety!
My kids used to raid my medicine cabinet for the "sugar pills", nothing never, ever happened to them. But they are healthy, homeopathic, unvaccinated brats.....................

Then the person would have some sort of reaction (based on their
succeptibility)-- as they would have to the same remedy in the same
potency given as a single dose.
WHAT that reaction would be is not known to me. Like any proving
symptom, it would come and then go.

There are a lot of references to CONSTITUTION in the Organon - pls do a word search and see.
§ 117
To the latter category belong the so-called idiosyncrasies, by which are meant peculiar corporeal constitutions which, although otherwise healthy, possess a disposition to be brought into a more or less morbid state by certain things which seem to produce no impression and no change in many other individuals.1 But this inability to make an impression on every one is only apparent. For as two things are required for the production of these as well as all other morbid alterations in the health of man - to wit., the inherent power of the influencing substance, and the capability of the vital force that animates the organism to be influenced by it - the obvious derangements of health in the so-called idiosyncrasies cannot be laid to the account of these peculiar constitutions alone, but they must also be ascribed to these things that produce them, in which must lie the power of making the same impressions on all human bodies, yet in such a manner that but a small number of healthy constitutions have a tendency to allow themselves to be brought into such an obvious morbid condition by them. That these agents do actually make this impression on every healthy body is shown by this, that when employed as remedies they render effectual homœopathic service2 to all sick persons for morbid symptoms similar to those they seem to be only capable of producing in so-called idiosyncratic individuals.
1 Some few persons are apt to faint from the smell of roses and to fall into many other morbid, and sometimes dangerous states from partaking of mussels, crabs or the roe of the barbel, from touching the leaves of some kinds of sumach, etc.
2 Thus the Princess Maria Porphyroghnita restored her brother, the Emperor Alexius, who suffered from faintings, by sprinkling him with rose water in the presence of his aunt Eudoxia (Hist. byz. Alexias, lib. xv, p. 503, ed. Posser); and Horstius (Oper., iii, p.59) saw great benefit from rose vinegar in cases of syncope.
==================
Thus you see a person that is eg a clear phos. If such a person was given phos, his susceptibility would be reduced. - Soroush

Interesting Sheri. Thank you for this - I have read the Vithoulkas definition (which I think I have in a book or magazine at home, actually)
He says it's complicated, but leans towards the basic essence of the person. Yes - I think so.
But as he says, you need to find the presenting remedy each time, and this may be a different remedy as you progress - exactly: these are 'layers' that need to be removed before you get back to the base line remedy (if you ever can - can take a loooong time!) which is your constitutional.

So that sounds like Kent's usage, basically meaning the current chronic remedy? (I know I did say long-term, but that's a "how long is a string" thing, I think...)

Yeah, but I don't like the term 'chronic remedy' - sounds like one single remedy that has been needed on and on for a long-standing chronic disease. So I don't generally use it, I don't think it's very likely that one single remedy can undo a long-standing problem. You're more likely to have to 'zig-zag' - unless you get a miracle:)

Sure it can! But there are lots of variables.
Mangialavore has many cases where a single remedy handles *everything* the pt needs--but certainly there are other cases where you need to begin more 'at the edges" and toword toward the center, e.g. with a lesional remedy or other "more superficial" one.

you all have got all this mishmashed in your head.
work with Hahnemann's guide, the organon, for 30 years, master that and then see what else you can learn elsewhere.
